People spilled out of the building and onto the streets, muttering under their breaths at the chaos that had just ensued inside. What had promised to be a night of good-mannered frivolity and celebration had turned into an utter shambles; the crisis management that would soon follow would be excruciating for those clearing up the mess. It was certainly a night many would not forget in a hurry, and for those involved, hopefully the ground would swallow them up before they had to face the music.

A new year calls for a new challenge. Prague-based DJ and producer Exhausted Modern takes a break from running Endless Illusion and OMO to team up with several friends for a new label pursuit. LTE's mission is to give a platform to local and foreign artists who are operating in all corners of the contemporary electronic music spectrum; a place for artists who want to experiment and try new things. For their first release they welcome six artists from across the globe, including MR TC, Mayo & Ethno Service, for a VA titled Long Term Evolution, that celebrates the music they love and sonic directions for the future.

Ransom Note Records are hyped to once again be working with Bristol-based DJ & producer-extraordinaire, Chez de Milo! This time, we’ve put together a remix package of his breakthrough So It Goes EP, showcasing some of today’s hottest producers, taking us on a whirlwind tour of the current European dance scene.

First out of the traps is Belgian-Tunisian DJ & producer, Sara Dziri, who’s delivered a truly epic version of Durga Lesson. Being resident at the legendary Fuse Club Brussels has clearly given Sara a deep insight into what makes for a proper dancefloor banger - a skill she has employed here in ecstatic abundance! Bouncy & fun, yet means absolute business.

Berlin’s Mr TC’s steps up next, with an incendiary, techno-tastic reimagining of So It Goes. Containing more bleeps than a supermarket checkout, this heads down groover pushes all the right buttons to get you super-marching!

South-West England Folk-Tronica duo Orbury Common, of PRAH Recordings fame, are professionals at exploring the warped night life of this Sceptred Isle. Their take on Sister Dex does not disappoint either, with a mechanical underpinning that’s beautifully juxtaposed by the natural feel of the synth harmonies and sample laden melodies.

Rounding off the package, is Manchester based newcomer Lapalace, dropping breakbeat bombs and distorted detonations in her assault on Wadham. Not for the faint of heart, Laplace, aka Lily Mumby, turns the noise up to eleven, in her brief, bassy rejig of Chez’s meditative original piece.

Phi Phi and Ignace Paepe make a powerful return to Bonzai Progressive with their newest collaboration, Shadowlights. A true icon of the progressive and trance world, Phi Phi continues to inspire with his timeless energy and unwavering commitment to the craft. His partner in sound, Ignace Paepe — Belgian DJ, producer, and actor — discovered his passion for electronic music at just 15, rising through legendary clubs like Cherry Moon before stepping away in 2000. His 2019 comeback marked a renewed vision, merging vinyl and digital approaches while using his artistic voice to promote individuality and creative freedom. On the remix here, chunky kick drums set a confident foundation from the outset, surrounded by a myriad of percussive elements that add rhythmic flair. Rich, vibrant pads bloom across the mix, creating tension while a delicate melodic undertone subtly guides the mood. As the track evolves, larger plucky synths rise to the forefront, shaping the energy with bold, expressive movement before the arrangement settles into a steady, driving groover that carries the momentum forward.

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from Tasime da Hidonash. "Ena | ენა" comes off the new EP of the same name, forthcomig on Berlin's GLANZ + ELEND. Tasime da Hidonash is a project that fuses the artistic practices of both Tasime and Hidonash into a new and unique vision. The duo combines Georgian folk vocals with a relentless construct of fast-paced industrial percussion. Their work takes different forms of menace, always maintaining an intriguing atmosphere. When the machines are brought on stage during a live set, the compositions transform into a turbulent barrage of vocal performance, live effects and modulation.
