Memphis Minnie born June 3rd 1897 in Algeris, LA. She chewed tebacca, drank whiskey, sang all about the nasty, and could out pick the boys. A special thanks to everyone who helped record this homage to a great lady of the blues. From the moment you put this disc in the player it rocks. The keys, drums, bass and other instruments only enhance what 'Murch' is already delivering through the chords. Powers' rendition of Hendrix' famous 'Spanish Castle Magic' is a highlight, as is the blues classic 'Shake Your Money Maker'. 'I Ain't Superstitious' is a wonderful song like a meandering river full of life. The title track is excellent with it entertaining keys.
