I wrote and recorded this song way back in February this year. I know that isn't that long, but in regards to songwriting, it's an entirely different headspace. I had a crush on someone and I felt stuck within it. I felt trapped, but I didn't want to tell the truth to anyone (except my close friend, Bailey). It felt like even when I tried to run away from this crush, I just kept going forward and forward and forward and forward and... it was unhealthy. The last verse was, essentially, an affirmation to myself that I could finally hear the truth, whether it was from her, me, or an omnipotent voice. It eventually did work, but it took a while. The song had been sitting in my Documents folder on my laptop for a few months at that point. I came back to it recently, since I had the INTENSE urge to release something on here. I remastered it and added additional production, a new outro (a demo for an entirely different song teehee), and just a bit more flavor. I feel really happy with this one and I hope you guys like it a lot. It might be sadder than what you all expected from me, but hey that's life. Thank you to my ex-bandmates in bleachers only child for helping me find my voice. Enjoy <3
