MUTRON, a debut of label "Dekathlon" founded by Zombie Nation, known for Kernkraft 400, has released a new EP on his own label "CODONA".
The track is based on the concept of a song played in a "hidden sushi restaurant in a time when fish are extinct and sushi is illegal", and is a minimalistic rhythm with acid bass and Japanese instruments. It is characterized by the occasional Koto-like sound and the break with the extremely thick bass that shakes you to your core.

 The music video, which represents the world view of this concept, will be released at the same time.

Also included is a spacey techno remix reminiscent of the late 90's by Lyoma, who was a resident of Takkyu Ishino's "STERNE" party for 6 years, and a FM remix using the much talked about M8 Tracker by tobokegao, who has performed at the world's largest chiptune festival, "Square Sounds Tokyo".

This track was born during the preparation stage for the release party of ‘suggested function EP#3’ by Gondayama aka CHERRYBOY FUNCTION.
I can only thank Mr Nagata of TRANSONIC RECORDS (EX : ExT Recordings) for organising and booking this party.

If I think about it, the aforementioned release party was held in October 2014, so it was about nine years ago. I occasionally used some of it in my DJ sets, but the nine years it took to get it released may have been a little too long. However, the timing of the release may not be so bad, considering the fact that rave-like tracks are nowadays seen here and there.

I made my debut in 2002 as part of the electroclash boom, and I often think about my roots.
One of them is games music, which I’ve gone as far as to do under the name W2X as Chiptune, but as far as this track is concerned, I think I had the following background.

My first exposure to a bit of rave music was a feature on a club called Juliana Tokyo (I couldn’t embed it here, so you’ll have to look at this link ) that was on TV.
There, women in body-conscious one-piece dresses danced so closely together that they looked as if they were going to fall off the stands in the audience, while waving fluffy fans above their heads. The atmosphere was like an extension of a disco, and the music played there included rave music.
You may have heard the iconic track Can’t Undo This! by Maximizor, aka Yasuhiko Hoshino.
As I was underage at the time, I couldn’t go to clubs and had to rely on Japanese music label avex trax and BEAT UK (a late night music TV programme aired on Fuji TV in Japan) to listen to this kind of music.

Rave was a music movement that took place in the UK from the late 1980s to the early 1990s, and rave music refers to the music played at these events and parties. I later found out about these movements from books and other sources, and I think that in order to make it commercially successful, the Japanese version of it evolved in its own unique way, arranged very much for the Japanese.

Thus, I grew up influenced by the superficial parts of the music without knowing the authentic rave culture. This track was born out of the process of digging deeper to understand the real rave culture later on. It may sound very funny and strange to you all. I think this track is a good representation of the aforementioned national tendency to adapt foreign cultures to suit our own needs.

@mutron has released a new track for the first time in about 9 years since the release of the 2011 album.

For 9 years after the album's release, he was involved in the start-up of a photography company and devoted himself to that business. And finally, he have been able to make time to create music.

This work is a rhythmic combination of sound effects that provide a cosmic expanse of space, crushing kicks and basses of sine wave are intertwined. And in that space is a deep techno track with a very metallic sounding cymbal and a sharp and slightly grainy transparent synthesizer sound.

The title "Dot Dash", reflects his wish to make up for 9 years of blanks and make the dot into lines.

When Yuri Suzuki moved to the UK, he was welcomed by the Rephlex crew, including DMX Krew. Influenced by them, Yuri's musical tastes shifted from techno to acid house, including the ph (the elemental symbol for acid) in the label name. At the same time he became aware of the cultural value of acid house and became more and more absorbed in it.

The neo-acid rave revival was sweeping London at the time. As he watched the legendary party "Bangface" and various artists like Luke Vibert, Ceephax Acid Crew, Cylob and many more, the desire to create his own acid house was born.

For this release, we've selected three songs from the past ten years of his work, both old and new.

All of the songs were written using the same hardware that DMX Krew taught me, and all of the songs were written without the use of computers and using the same equipment that acid house was using at the time: Roland TR-808, TB-303, MC-202, SH-101, TR-727 and E-MU SP1200.

The sampled material was sampled from a film, with a large amount of songs inspired by acid house and sci-fi films during the heyday of Second Summer of Love.
So he, too, was drawn to the film, having lived in Pittsburgh for some time, and created the music.

The release was named "CIVIC EP", after the cable TV song run by the film's main character.
