"THE REMIXTAPE VOL.1"
Is a personal passion project that was started in November 2022, as a response to various traumatic experiences I have faced, including but not limited to mental health challenges, drug addiction, and suicidal ideations. These struggles were not unique to me, as I have witnessed friends and family members go through similar ordeals. 

My difficult experiences began during my attendance at Redbank Plains State High School when I was 12 years old. My friend William and I both shared a fear of being jumped at school. Unfortunately, I often found myself defenseless against older, more experienced students, resulting in physical injuries, theft, and other forms of abuse. I continued to face similar issues when I transferred to Morisset High School after moving to New South Wales in 2019. This constant cycle of violence left me feeling depressed and alone, eventually attempting suicide a month before my 15th birthday in 2021.
Despite my struggles, I found solace in music and wrote the song "Dreaming" shortly after my suicide attempt. The track remained unfinished until December 2022. 

In January 2023, when I was made aware of a friend's drug problem, I was reminded of the empathy I have for others who suffer. This experience led me to write the track "Second Chances," reflecting on my friend's struggles with suicide, drug abuse, both domestic and child abuse and my own desire to help. Which I regretfully failed and started using drugs to cope with the pain and tremendous guilt I had.

The "Starboy" remix is a reflection of my contentment with not needing material possessions to feel happy. Despite being unable to afford expensive clothing or shoes, I am fulfilled by a genuine soul and missed family time. This track is my personal favorite on the tape alongside with a fabulous singer from Perth named Girlinaglitch!!!

The "Still Wiz" remix was a last-minute addition to the tape, featuring a recording by MRBARISTA, who completed his part in only 15 minutes. I enjoyed creating this EP and hope that it becomes a significant piece of my art in the future.
