After 11 long years Pohjola reignites it's furnace to bring a new release by the (let's pretend he's) young Serbian producer Lag. Finding a common language in pursuing the unsaid parts of techno, labelboss Rivet aka Grovskopa and Lag turned their long, meme-and-trolling-fueled friendship into a gorgeous-looking record (art by Trudy Creen, additional design work by Dejan Ilić). The music it bears is as offset as it is functional: offering a palette of both straight and broken beats driven by vocal snippets, genre-defying arrangements and, most importantly, scream-inducing club moments. Trust us, we tried them in the wild.

Travelling around the Globe and DJ-support from the likes of Ben Sims, Carl Cox, Truncate, DJ Rush, Umek, Cristian Varela, DJ Murphy, The Advent,... confirms his recognition as an true artist.

Chocolate Fonk is a the headline release from his first artist album which is set to come May 5th on Pornographic Recordings.

Slam rework Nitzer Ebb Nitzer Ebb, Silent Breed, DK8, Terrance Fixmer and more for the final instalment of their Archive Edit series

Soma label heads Slam curate a specially designed package of tracks to finalise their Archive Edit project that sees them delve deep into Techno’s past to bring some of the genre’s best tracks into the modern age. The Archive Edit project started as a way for Slam to showcase and share the many different edits that had made their way into their DJ sets over the last few years. The pairing of Stuart McMillan & Orde Meikle have both raided their extensive collections, picking out tracks that have defined countless sets over their career. Tracks from luminaries such as Nitzer Ebb, Thomas P Heckmann (as Silent Breed), Damon Wild & Terrence Fixmer have been re-edited alongside some of Slam’s own unreleased material, showcasing the duo’s current sound; one that constantly naturally evolves, matures and demonstrates why the duo have been at the forefront of the global scene since its inception.

“We resurrect nine cuts from our archive collective collections for your listening and spinning pleasure. Some are original material, some are live re-edits, some are well-known, others are not! They all have one thing in common, they all attempt to unashamedly destroy dancefloors, and thus featured heavily, (usually toward the end of our DJ sets) in the last year or so well known”. Now we share them with you!"

Slam open the album with an absolute monster track in the form of their rework of the legendary Nitzer Ebb’s ‘Join In The Chant’. The anthemic EBM/post-punk infused original is given a thrashing overhaul from the duo marking one of the standout tracks of this collection.  A special live rework of fan favourite ‘Scorpion’ drops before the previously unreleased ‘Memoriam’ delivers on a more emotive tip. Firing back into the edits is Thomas P Heckmann’s seminal ‘Sync In’, under his Silent Breed Moniker which is a fast-paced, Neo-Trance affair Slam then drop the manic ‘1001’ which takes the BPM stratospheric. DK8’s, Murder Was The Bass is up next and given a 2019 update as the duo's edit snatches up all the most perfect elements of the track leading nicely into a rework of French EBM legend Terence Fixmer’s ‘Body Pressure’ - driving through with its twisted beats and vocals. Another special live edit of the first Archive Edit release, Damon Wild’s Rotary makes an appearance as the album closes out with the rave infected, rework of the Hertz classic ‘Recreate’

Pan-Pot’s prized Second State imprint kick off the new year with a collaboration between two Berlin residents on their Before We Run EP that is set for a wax release as well as including a delectable digital exclusive track.

Born in Sweden, Grindvik is known for running the superb Stockholm LTD and contributing to Rødhåd’s Dystopian, Weekend Circuit or working with the likes of Pfirter. Teaming up this time is Berlina Für Techno label head Sylvie Maziarz who also has releases on Coyu’s Suara and Florian Meindl’s FLASH.

For this DT:Premiere we selected “Utopia” that is raw and full of emotion. Combining an urgent dance floor energy with abstract sound design and sincere musicality, this enchanting creation shows the wonders of a leftfield approach.

The first LP of Nastia's audio-visual project Scary Beautiful. Music she played in the first  episode at Morozovsky  Quarry. It contains techno music made by underground producers from Ukraine, Russia, UK, India and Argentina. For some of the artists this project became the first opened door to the world's electronic music scene.
