After his sought-after debut 12” on I Love Acid last year, which sold out in less than an hour, notorious Brooklyn DJ & producer WTCHCRFT returns with a full EP on Posthuman’s Balkan Vinyl imprint.

Four tracks of hyper-energetic acid & jack, direct gear for the dancefloor and already heavily club tested.

Title track “Drugs Here” sets the pace for the whole EP, with “No Time To Lose” bringing WTCHCRFT’s signature vocal edit style. B side banger “Uhmm” recently featured on TSHA’s Fabric mix compilation.

Out on a hand-numbered edition of 666 copies, random red/blue marbled heavyweight 180g wax.

Between 1 April 2022 and 30 September 2022, food banks in the Trussell Trust’s UK-wide network distributed 1.3 million food parcels to people facing hardship – this is an increase of 52% compared to the same period in 2019. Half a million of these parcels were distributed to children. The charity says that for the first time, need for emergency food is outstripping donations as the cost of living emergency is leading to a drastic increase in the number of people turning to food banks for support. 

With this situation being more urgent than ever, Vief are delighted to announce their 2nd charity compilation will be raising funds for the Trussell Trust. Not only providing incredibly vital, immediate support to people facing hardship, the charity also works tirelessly towards the goal of ending the need for food bank in the UK. 

Spanning genres and tempos, reticulation stands as the label’s most ambitious project to date, and owes its thanks to the immense talent and generosity of the 20 producers involved. 

With a string of 2022 releases under his belt, Ghadimi lends his talent to this Vief release with a 140bpm UK techno and breakbeat hybrid, held together sumptuously with the captivating vocals it samples.

𝙐𝙕 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙢𝙞𝙚𝙧𝙚: Ghadimi - White Tee

Matching supple muscle with brainy brawn, fast-rising Edinburgh producer @lws_trax comes bowling onto the PM+ series with a pair of widescreen heaters. As is now well established and expected for Peder Mannerfelt’s quick-fire offshoot of club-ready cuts, these pieces are forged outside obvious genre categorization, where it’s easier to talk in terms of sound and energy than style.
 
‘Pendrum’ is a long and ranging track which revels in knotty rhythmic intricacy, driven by a drum palette which sounds like it was sourced from those odd things you find in miscellaneous kitchen drawers. The space-age pads take these items and fling them towards the horizon, and we’re dutifully dragged along for the ride. It’s a true journey piece – a saga for the club loaded with dramatic peaks and troughs.
 
‘Now That’s Focus!’ similarly looks beyond obvious drum machines for its percussive hits, but this time it’s purely about the beat. LWS proves himself to be devilishly effective at setting a scene with not much more than a biscuit tin and a dripping tap at his disposal, strapping the crinkling of a crisp packet to a rugged kick and slowly letting the gas escape from his bottle of sparkling when the track shifts into a higher gear.

Kyoto’s Naco returns to Scuffed Recordings for his third outing on the label, with four new tracks spanning esoteric and leftfield techno and breaks.

The journeys of Naco and Scuffed Recordings have been tied together since the earliest days of the label. His 2026 EP, released in 2018, was one of the first releases on the London imprint, with the release being championed by Skream among others, and the track OIZB appearing on the first ever Scuffed vinyl.

Returning to Scuffed in 2023 for the Noian EP, Naco received further support from the likes of SHERELLE, Moxie, Jamz Supernova, and Nikki Nair, with his ever-warping blend of techno, breaks, and oddball electronics.

On the Spride EP, Naco takes an altogether moodier approach compared to the all-out breaks of the Noian EP, bringing us four new heads-down club tracks that nevertheless retain Naco’s unconventional and off-the-wall approach to production.
