Belief-based Blindness

If you're not familiar with White Records, the vinyl-only imprint operating out of Berlin, then you should be. Helmed by Oskar Offermann, the label showcases a unique and super-deep sound that bridges the gap between house and techno.

One of the stand-out releases that came out on the label this year was 'Travelguide' by Belgian newcomer Cleveland and his debut four-track 12-inch seamlessly glides through the different styles that the producer brings to the table.

Robert Lippok (raster noton) and Peter Kirn play a live set, on the 4DSOUND spatial audio system during Amsterdam Dance Event, October 2014. 

Working with single-cycle instruments, snippets of sound, and keyboard instruments, we play a collaborative improvisation inspired by the architecture of Arno Brandlhuber.

The prefrontal cortex, also known scientifically PFC, is the front of the frontal lobe of the brain, located in front of the primary motor cortex and premotor cortex.
The typical psychological term for the set of functions assigned to the prefrontal cortex is to the execution system. Executive functions are involved in the ability like distinguish conflicting thoughts, determine good and evil, same and different, determine the consequences of current assets, to work for a certain objective, predict results, do expectations based on actions, and social "control" (suppress stimuli that if not removed can lead to unacceptable social behaviors.

@peterkirn fuels his love of techno and dancefloors with a deep background in experimental music and machines. He's released his own music on Detroit Underground, Snork Enterprises, Instruments of Discipline, and his imprint Establishment, as well as engaging collaborations from architecture and spatial sound to modern dance. As a curator/organizer of open collaborative performance labs, he's worked with CTM, MUTEK, GAMMA, and Nusasonic festivals. He writes and speaks about music making and creative technologies, including running the daily site CDM (cdm.link) and co-producing the MeeBlip synthesizer hardware line.
