Turning around… turning around…
The city fades - I feel the night begin.
Silence cuts through all the noise within.
The air is slow, the shadows crawl,
I find myself… escaping it all.

The world keeps shouting in my ears,
Every headline built on fear.
Truth is bent and sold again,
Power feeds on broken men.
I walk through streets that never sleep,
Screens reflecting eyes too weak.
No place left to hide my mind,
I’m burning from the noise inside.

They call it freedom,
But I can’t feel it here.
They call it order,
But all I sense is fear.

Because I can’t take it anymore,
My mind is tired, my spirit sore.
In the silence I am reborn 
This is where I’m safe once more.

The daylight burns, it never heals.
Faces blur in spinning wheels.
I see the world devour itself 
All the noise, all the rage, all the lies that I’ve felt.

Night comes… and I feel safe again.
The noise fades, the city sleeps.
I can breathe… I can finally breathe.
Here - in the dark - I exist.

Because I can’t take it anymore.
But I don’t need their world to endure.
In the silence I am reborn 
This is where I’m safe once more.

Silence… my shelter.
Silence… my cure.
