Folk Sutartine singers Aiste Aleckūnaitė and Ruta Kazanavičė join in the Fort Tune sound art and visual performance at the VIII Fort in Kaunas, Lithuania.  

This performance/exhibition experiments with the very special acoustic environment of the 40m-long hall inside the VIII fort. 
 
It starts by exploring or tuning to the natural frequencies of the vault at the Fort. These produce resonances that are transformed into colour lights according to their position in the visible spectrum (in an octave), which repurpose the place from a war context into an experimental art, creative space.

Along the colouring of light an synthesis of sound, public and performers are invited to play and contribute with the acoustic of the chamber, so it can be sampled by the artist, processed and played back to further investigate the acoustic possibilities of the space.

The Fort is an abandoned construction built to defend the Russian Empire in 1890.  

Sutartinės (from the word ''sutarti ''– to be in concordance) is a form of polyphonic music performed by female singers in north-east Lithuania.

This is an in-site recorded segment of mix media artist Devin Asher Cohen's artwork "Von Humboldt at the Winds of Philadelphia" featured at the exhibit "The Unity of Nature: Alexander von Humboldt in the Americas," from Nov. 15 to Dec. 9 at Cherry Street Pier in Philadelphia.

Alien Architect/Cohen Asher (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) is a multidisciplinary artist, working with music, visual arts, and poetry. He has recorded several records, with a lyrical quality associated with MC. 

In 2014 Alien Architect published the experimental hip hop album Arteria.

Alien Architect is a vocalist and multi-instrumentalist known for mixing hip hop and poetry. He has played shows alongside such acts as Wu Tang Clan, Rahzel, Badfish, Wax, Slightly Stoopid, Shwayze, Black Landlord, Ursula Rucker, Schooly D, Sam Roberts Band, Thievery Corporation, Jaguar Wright, Blackstreet, and Jef Lee Johnson to name a few. Alien Architect also recorded a song with Gift of Gab from Blackalicious in 2012.

Alien Architect has played all over the streets and venues of Philadelphia, across Mexico, Egypt, Israel, Spain, Paris, and many other cities across the United States.
