There was a Galway connection, as the World's most Northernly GAA game took place in the Raati Stadium in Oulu, Finland on Saturday.

Former Menlo Emmets player Eoghan Ferrie lined out for Helsinki as they beat Oulu by ten points in the second leg of the All-Finnish Gaelic Football Championship Final to take silverware.

Hundreds of spectators turned up at the Oulu venue, which hosted Liverpool in a European Cup tie back in 1981, while thousands more watched a live video stream on the internet.
