Ana Lilia, originally from Mexico and currently living in Mumbai (India), quickly made a name for herself touring all over Asia and Europe with her typical blend of House and Techno. She holds her own in various styles and encorporates that broad taste into all her sets, which is pretty refreshing in this day and age where people tend to favor the one-trick pony. Turns out she's prettty fun to be around with too, so we are delighted to have her on board of our starship. Her EP will be out when most covid restriction will hopefully be lifted, so let these be some sneaky weapons in your arsenal.

Title track 'TH0R' is a loopy track that might be deceivingly simple, but everytime it was played in the past year, it got some very nice feedback during her sets and livestreams. At the right time in a set, this is a nice weapon that can raise the energy levels. 
Second track 'LF0' reminds me a lot of the tunes you'd expect on Trip: super effective, straight forward Techno, based on a vocal stab that makes a relentless DJ tool. It sounds pretty oldskool too, if you ask us.

We are super excited to have Ana with us, and hope you'll play this throughout summer, as you are picking up the touring life again. Hopefully, her EP will be part of the soundtrack  of the return to dance floors around the globe. We can't wait to see you again.

Coincidence.125 - 02. Ana Lilia: LF0

It took a while, but Coincidence is back on vinyl. And how: Serbian producer and DJ Lag teams up with Belgian BEOT on the 'Patience EP' - a title that turned into a bit of a prophecy as vinyl production seemed to take ages to  cut through the red tape and production issues spiralled out of control.
The EP is conceptualised around two original tracks from each artist. And in return, they remixed each other's work. Four tracks, four vibes, one EP. Get you some of that!

'Rokenrol' opens the A side with a massive drumroll infusion. Unbelievable funky, wild, distorted and straight to the feet of anyone standing on the dance floor: Lag delivers his signature dish. 
The second track by BEOT, titled 'Problem of Conduct', is dark, slow, dirty and nasty. Almost minimalistic although beneath the surface, an absolute belter lurks an snaps at anyone daring to venture too close. 

On the other side, the remixes take the originals to a completely different vibe. Lag's remix of 'Problem of Conduct' keeps the dark vibe, but thrives on a massive broken beat and eerie atmosphere. This sounds brutal on a big sound system. 
BEOT's remix of 'Rokenrol' on the other hand dumps the funky drums and goes for the heavy straightforward approach. The result is an absolute growling distorted noise monster that simply is amazing and effective.

It was a few years back when RPTR debuted on Coincidence. He made one of the standout tracks of the infamous Twelve compilation series. So, we are really excited to see him return to the mothership. 
RPTR is from Antwerp where he has been tirelessly working on his productions and a career as a DJ. Highlights thus far: Dour Festival and Club Vaag. Meanwhile, he developed his own style of hard-as-nails, heavy but crisp produced Techno with a lot of humour and an amazing party attitude. So... here's his debut EP on the label, entitled 'EMMA' . 

The title track is built around a bit of a joke, but if you aren't Dutch speaking, chances are you're not going to get the punch line. Let's just say that it's a fierce Rave Techno stomper that will surely go down well any body cavity, where ever you play it. 
Second track 'Knarsetanden', now there's a word you can google and the translation should make any raver grin. A brutal, straight to the core, basskick driven tune is the result. This was tested and approved by the container ravers at Dour, so doureeeeeuh indeed. 
The remix of Knarsetanden is done by Techno nouveau royalty Wanton. If you were hiding under a rock in recent times: crawl from under there, son. Wanton has quickly made a name as mastering engineer, driving force behind Black Mass Agency, Producer and DJ. From our home turf Ghent he has been sending bombardments of uncompromising Techno to the dance floors and even on a float of Love Parade's recent reincarnation. His remix is testament to that ambition: full of relentless fire, hard as the nails in the coffin of a metal worker, skilfully crafted. 

A nice pack yet again, so we hope you'll dig this new all-Belgian release on Coincidence. Can't wait.

With Leviws, we return to Spain. In these times, when everything seems to be going faster, harder and darker, we were pretty happy to get these tracks. A bit more on the deeper, hypnotic side of Techno, with a proper funky vibe underneath the surface. 

4 tracks which all have a distinctive common sound, but at the same time hold their own. As the boys and girls at Apple would say: we can't wait for you to try them out.

As we are zooming towards the 150th - and last - release on Coincidence, I figured I'd really go for something that is totally 'me'. So, enter Helsmoortel. If you have ever heard of him, you'll know what to expect: mouth watering Elektro breaks with an amazing vibe and oldskool melodies in a modern arrangement. 

And to top it off, he invited a friend from Colombia to remix one of the tracks: Dagga already amazed us with his work with DJ Fuckoff, and now delivers a brutal elektrobreaks monster that will go down wll on the decks of the proper Elektro DJ. 

Add to that flawless mastering by Conor Dalton himself, and you'll know you have gold here. I can't be more proud of this release.

Well, here we are: the final month of Coincidence, and with that comes the last release as Psytox as well. You'll get three tracks in total: opener 'Anita' which is a straightforward dancefloor Techno stomper and 'Balochistan', which is heavily Electrobreaks influenced with lots of twists and turns. Third tracks Cezaz is a bit of an odd duck, with stabs that are a bit reminiscent of 'The Bells', but as it would sound on ketamine with the offbeat echoes running wild.

Well, that's all folks. This 150th release is the last of the Coincidence saga. 15 years of Techno that brought you a lot of stuff from artists that were definitely at the forefront and some that made it to the biggest stages around. 

And who else to end it all than the creator of our label's biggest hit to date: REMY-X. His track 'The Body' is nothing short of a techno anthem, but the other tracks on the EP were also hammered to death by many DJs all over the globe. 

So we say goodbye with four tracks of his, showcasing a different side of REMY-X but yet with the typical aesthetics that seperate him from the rest.

Canadian but with some Belgian roots and currently living in Berlin: Alexa Borzyk is definitely international in every aspect. She released her 'Under the Temple' EP last year, and as the label is ending in July, we are thrilled to have her with us one last time.

Two tracks and a remix: that's the backbone of 'Fatale EP'. 'Descent to Hell' is a quirky, Electro-but-not-quite track that twists and turns all over the place and yet keeps it dark and consistently funky. Somehow it reminded me a bit of the dutch sounds from Murder Capital, but feel free to disagree.
Second track 'Fatale Reflection' on the other hand is more straighforward Techno. And the remix, well... 160bpm madness from MDNT:SON and his evil twin Norman Bates. 

All this in a package mastered by Conor Dalton, so, what's not to like.

Linear Straight has been around in the Belgian scene - and beyond - for a long time indeed. Under various monikers and in various roles - label boss, dj, producer, teacher - he has steadily been doing his thing in Techno. This release has been long overdue indeed.

Title track Tunnel Vision immediately reveals the intentions of Linear Straight: dark, pounding and merciless Techno that grabs you by the throat and doesn't let go. A 3/4 stab builds up but the track always remains unsettling. 

Light Speed is a bit similar in that aspect that it also uses the same pattern but the sounds are far more brutal and sharp as a knife. On a big sound system this really does extensive damage to the dance floor - in a good way.

Third track Gravity is the relatively groovier one of the bunch. Acid echoes nicely draped over nifty programmed rhythms with a smudge of shuffle... it sounds pretty simple but there's a lot more below the surface than you might expect.

Coincidence.080 : 02. Linear Straight: Light Speed

Birmingham's daughter Rebekah is not easy to catch in just one single phrase, but these days she's a talented dj that not only managed to move various dance floors worldwide but also produced serious techno bangers on labels like Naked Lunch or Manual Music.
 
So, enter her first release for Coincidence Records. The first track she sent us, Who Poisoned Ivy, left little interpretation to what she was intending to do: immediately blasting of with her signature dark distorted basskicks and on to a track that relies on that typical sound of Berlin's infamous club who's name shall not be uttered.  
 
Her co-producer Dark Chambers (with whom Rebekah is setting up a label of their own) signed for the remix, which has a bit of... well, darker sound. Heavy on the bass, spooky sounds in the back, and yet keeping it very dancefloor friendly. 
 
Last but not least is "BB's At Dawn" which is my favourite. Keeping it rather restrained, with percussion vaguely resembling early Shinedoe, and and eerie string in the background that is the ideal backdrop for the simple yet effective stabs. 
 
All tracks were mastered by Misjah from 24Mastering in Holland. 
 
Oh, and if you are one of those few that actually reads these promo babbling, you will know first that Rebekah will be performing on Europe's biggest mid summer dance festival on the Coincidence stage. You didn't hear that from us.

Niereich comes from Austria and has been exploring the harder side of Techno for many years. He produced for Sleaze, Kombination Research or 100% Pure, just to name a few... and also as a DJ he has been steadily progressing. 

This EP is a bit of a two-in-one affair: two tracks that are hard, booming and more comtemporary, while two others are Niereich's take on early rave and techno sounds but always with a twist. Whatever you fancy, the energy will surely come in massive waves out of the speakers. 

Four tracks that simply are excellent eapons for any hard hitting dance floor. We are very proud to welcome such an amazing artist to the label.

Twelve seasons. We started in 2007 and frankly, neither Wouter nor Psytox could've predicted where this would lead us. The initial goal was to offer a platform to unknown artists and it was a true experience to see some of the early artists grow into properly established artists. Highlighting a few would not do the others credit, but we hope browsing our back catalog will show you that we did release quite some cool stuff in those 120 or so EPs, albums and compilations. 

We hope you enjoyed the twelve years you spent with us. We did. We loved seeing dozens of our t-shirts on Tomorrowland, Kompass and many other raves worldwide. We had a blast when Charlotte de Witte showed off her #thekidswantpropertechno sweater to her audience, and were thankful to Amelie Lens for helping us time and time again behind the scenes. We fell in love with Rebekah's sharp mind and endless insightful peptalks. We were so proud to call Insolate our sister. We thank truncate, Developer, Tom Hades, Tom Dazing, Jeroen Search, Marcel Fengler, Dj Rush, Patrick DSP and so many others who often became close friends over the years. 
And also the countless artists who regularly gave us feedback, like Laurent Garnier, I Hate Models, Ben Sims or one of the most consistent of all: Slam. 

But all stories come to an end, and this story ends with this compilation. For the last time we've compiled the best of the past year for you all. Our biggest hit in label history opens the album (Remy-X) and from then on it's a pretty impressive selection of superb Techno from beginning till end. 

On top of it, we've incuded three exclusive, not released before tracks. One is from our youngest family member and Holland's finest Amekmar, the second one from Rave Syndicate (USA) and the final rave is a classic provided to us by our mate Ruffneck Prime, who pulled Psytox' favorite rave classic ever from his vault. Overmind!

Until we meet again, Coincidence family. You will never be forgotten.

In the beginning of last year the world looked quite different. Coincidence had just come out of hibernation and we wanted to get back into the game with a bomb. So, our buddy Remy-x came up with the 'Bodyfication EP'. We had three tracks and one remix by Psytox and although we believed and loved the tracks, we didn't have much hope that people would pick up on it in those trying times when everyone was playing the same stuff and everyone was looking for The Next Big Thing. 

And then it happened: first, Marika Rossa got on board when she pushed 'Konzentriert' and later 'CTRL-X'. I Hate Models really caught everyone's attention when he blasted 'The Body' everywhere. Unfortunately that alo started a shitstorm that unintentionally helped to push the track to stardom. An adapted version became the biggest hit to date for Coincidence. A year after the release, our friend Amelie Lens rediscovered the track giving it a second lease on life that catapulted it to the number one spot on Beatport for 6 weeks straight. 

So here we are: again ready to reboot Coincidence for another season and again we start with Remy-x. This time, we have 4 remixes for you that each have a very different vibe and all are uncompromising to say the least!  The remixers? Austria's super producing duo Niereich & Shadym. Belgian hardcore and techno demi-God Tripped. The Wir Tanzen boss Man Outta Space in collab with one of Techno's most interesting talents Don Woezik. And the fourth by our returning favo talent from Holland: Cynkt.

We are very happy to welcome a great producer to the label for the first - and hopefully not last - time. Berlin based Moog Conspiracy has been releasing pretty amazing tracks, joined the Ragnarok family and of course has his own Elektrotribe imprint. He released well over 100 EPs so absolutely one to watch. 

And to top it off, our friend Greg Denbosa also returns to Coincidence with a masive pounding remix that will blast the dust out of your fillings.

Coincidence.114 - 01. Moog Conspiracy: Mescal (Original Mix)

Sylvie Maziarz joined the label a year or two ago and immediately became one of those people that make an impression forever. Her DJ skills undenieable, her productions typically fierce and piercing and her drive that is second to none. Unfortunately, covid temporarily slowed her rise down but I have a funny feeling she will be not exactly be backing down once this strange period in all our lives has ended.

The title of the EP is her way of asking where this world is heading, with our lives morphing into a digital version where it's becoming increasingly hard to seperate reality from fake. In that aspect, Sylvie is definitely a child of this era, on a crossroad in history whereno one knows yet where it will go to.

We can only hopethe future will lead to more of tracks like she created on this release. Have a listen. And dance. Even if you only can dance at home or alone. 

Goodbye, fans, we hope 2021 will be a better one for all of us. <3

Coincidence.121 - 01. Sylvie Maziarz:  Digital Devil

Many people kept asking for a vinyl release so we figured we'd open the new Pure Coincidences series with these tracks. 

The biggest 'hit' to date on Coincidence was definitely REMY-X' "The Body". Played in heavy rotation by I Hate Models, Amelie Lens and Marika Rossa among others, it was on number 1 for several weeks and got played 100k times on Soundcloud and streamed about the same amount of times. So it made sense to start the series with this bomb.

The second track is by one of our alltime favorite producer duos: Noneoftheabove. Check the track and you'll get why. 

On the B-side, we have our longtime friend Esther Duijn who was remixed by dutch Hardcore and Techno hero Ruffneck Prime. 

The final track is made by british prospect Figxxro, his "Tunnel Vision" was one of the absolute highlights on the label.
