Within ten years, Aly & Fila have left an unforgettable impression upon the dance scene. The Egyptian duo have build themselves up to be one of the most renowned duo’s in trance, through both their productions and remixes, as well as their hard work in launching their Future Sound of Egypt label and turning it into a realm for trance lovers.

This week, we put one of their all-time favourites and classics in the spotlights. ‘Lost Language’, the uplifting trance that followed to their first successes of ‘Eye of Horus’ and ‘How Long’. Released on Armada Music’s Soundpiercing label in May 2008, it became another anthem for the dark hours of night and a real energizer when the sun was about to set.

It has been a busy few months for the talented Slovakian Nifra, including her debut performance at the New York-held Dreamstate series. Hot on the heels of original instrumental Rebel, her freshman vocal project Army of Lights is given a fresh take for 2016; with two exciting remixes of varying style.

Alongside his wonderful Introspection album on Coldharbour, Canadian Solid Stone took on the challenge of providing a sexy and groovy take on Army of Lights, and received instant acclaim in the process. A vital cog in both his and Nifra's warmup sets, it's an excellent way to build the mood to an evening.
And for the peak hour, Kiev duo DRYM provide an energetic affair, receiving excellent response at Dreamstate and beyond.

Returning to the progressive trance sound that he initially built his name on, Artem Stoliarov aka Arty reprises the well-loved Alpha 9 alias for his latest Anjunabeats outing alongside London duo Koven.

Following a series of Arty instrumentals on the label throughout 2016 including ‘Patriots’ and ‘Follow The Light’ (alongside Andrew Bayer), ‘Only Good Mistake’ feat. Koven surprisingly marks the Russian producer’s first ever vocal single on Anjunabeats.

A vocalist and producer duo in the bass world, Max Rowat and Katie Boyle aka Koven have released on a number of renowned labels including Viper Recordings and Monstercat. 

Recent years have seen Arty himself explore all sides of the electronic music world, most noticeably in 2015’s diverse and experimental ‘Glorious’ LP. Elsewhere his mix for Moby’s iconic ‘Porcelain’ showed a deeper, broken beat side to his sound. 

In ‘Only Good Mistake’, however, the Russian producer defines a clear, singular melodic progressive house sound that has all the hallmarks of a festival hit and bodes well for the rebirth of the Alpha 9 alias.
