Budapest based DJ/producer AO UZZI (@ao-uzzi) is mostly known for being an active member of the global 160 BPM community with his Budapest Juke (@budapestjuke) imprint & collective, dope juke/footwork productions or his recent appearance on Juke Bounce Werk’s latest global compilation JBDUBZ Vol 7. But his first Coldpakk release, the “J-000 EP”, documents an excursion towards slower tempo with an interesting collusion of house, rave and Jersey club elements with various uneven dosages tested differently across four tracks.

While J-0002 literally sounds like a tight jazzy house track with club elements creeping in little by little, J-0001 unleashes restrained & tense club grooves over peaceful soundscape and hypnotic vocal chops. The exquisite J-0003 challenges slowed down Jersey club patterns with bold synth melodies and jazzy textures. Final track J0004 featuring Walen Delon (@walendelon) adds more spice with rave/breakbeat sounds powering through club esthetics.
