“The Leper Kissed The Saint” is the last of a sonic essay trilogy (after “A Color Named Nothing” and “On Any One Of Those Notes”) that explores the presence of voice in independent recordings – this time inspired on R. D. Laing’s 1967 work “The Politics of Experience and The Bird of Paradise”.

This recording was aired 21.02.2024 on @lyl_radio for French label @disques-de-la-spirale, and released on limited edition hand-made tape. The C90 cassette contains 30 extra minutes of unreleased recording, exclusive for the physical format.

German-based electronic ambient music producer and visual artist - Blear Moon, presenting the mix with heavy low-frequency presence: floating in the fog, cloaked beneath a lowland - hazy & encompassing, as intermittent flashes of distant. Echoes ripple outward, as they linger and elongate in the haze, punctuating the tremulous weight.

Rainy Miller is the solo project of Preston-born, Manchester-based artist, producer, and label head Jack Bowes. Founder of FIXED ABODE (2020), he champions the North West’s emerging talent, collaborating with artists like Blackhaine, Iceboy Violet, and Hyperdawn. His music blends fragile, intimate moments with raw intensity. Following Desquamation (2022), he released the acclaimed A Grisaille Wedding (2023) via Fixed Abode, featuring Mica Levi, Coby Sey, and Voice Actor.

One of my favourite tracks by Clark.. I was a bit obsessed with the original and did a synthesized version for fun and to get my head around the chord progressions, which ended up as a bonus track on the Japanese edition of his double album Feast / Beast.

KHOST [Deconstructed And Reconstructed By] GODFLESH 'Needles Into The Ground' CD/LP (CSR215CD/LP)

Needles Into the Ground contains material by Khost which has been elementally transformed by Justin Broadrick of Godflesh. The original Khost material – taken from their second album Corrosive Shroud – is dense, multifaceted and purgatorial with no straightforward ‘stems’ based approach. Broadrick has extracted what he needed for his work whilst in pure Godflesh mode. As a result, the outcome is claustrophobic and frenetic, the experience akin to being in the proximity of a large, unstable machine on the verge of meltdown. In addition to these pieces, Khost has added a new track. Vinyl comes with download code.

“If it was a painting it would be about a kilometer wide held up by old, thick metal supports and wires that creak in wind, in parts abstract, in parts quite hard to decipher, and the materials would be oil like and seeping, never quite drying out” (Khost).
