Despite being a small town in Norway surrounded by seven mountains, the Hall of Fame of Bergen is home to many world famous names including Edvard Grieg, Erlend Øye and Röyksopp. It’s also home to Made In Sane, an enigmatic duo with a passion for all things analogue and Eighties. They also have a knack for melody, as they display in their enchanting debut Flying Circuits.

Remixes come from Man Power and Mørkeby. Not much is known about Man Power. We know the mysterious whizz kid lives in Europe and he has a release coming up on John Talabot’s Hivern Discs... Second remix comes from Mørkeby, yet another Norwegian disco talent we can add to the Eskimo list next to Prins Thomas, Todd Terje and Lindstrøm.
 
Flying Circuits is taken from The Pink Collection, the first installment in a brand new Eskimo compilation series. Out now.

After the great success of Italo Brutalo ́s debutalbum „Heartware“ it was quite obvious to let some of the hottest artists around rework some of the songs. 

Kafkactrl, who released some great EPs on Vortex Trax took „You are welcome“ to another – his very own dimension. While the original is quite straight his remix is dominated by electro beats paired with his stunning micro editing. 

„Reach Horizon“ has been remixed by CYRK, who are without any doubts one of the best live acts these days. 

Mufti from Mexico made a very dancefloor-ish remix out of „Dream Machine“, which will be heard at festivals this summer for sure. 

None other than one of the two Slow Motion Label heads, Fabrizio Mammarella, made a great dancefloor version of „Into a sampler“. 

South Korean ́s Shubostar created a great cosmic disco remix of „Heat of the Knight“, that can be played any time in a cool DJ set. 

Last but not least Italo Brutalo ́s longterm friend Kris Menace, who is out of the remixing business and denied requests from the biggest players the past years, turned „Into a Sampler“ into a powerful bass-in- your-face version. 

On top of that all Bungalo Disco created very special analog remixed videos of the original videos to complete the audio-visual remix concept of Heartware.

The clouds looked ominous, demonic almost, as if a day of reckoning was upon us all but nobody had been given the memo. On days like these, the only thing you could do was to lock yourself away and wait for the storm to pass, but tonight it didn't feel as if that would be an imminent reality. They were in this for the long haul...

Venezuelan native Alejandro Molinaro, who now resides in Berlin, is the next artist to land on Barcelona's Playground Records following recent releases from Roe Deers, Leonor and Marzian. Alejandro's EP boasts three originals and three remixes from friends of the label including Middle Sky Boom, Teniente Castillo, Skelesys and Mijo, who lend their own talents to the dark, rock-influenced productions.

In a strange way, the songs of the new @bongbeck EP "NOTRE DAME" tune in to a heavy time full of unusual viruses. The voices pitched in all directions over syncopated driving rhythms, sound like songs of prayer, out into an apocalyptic shadowy land. With the third Bongbeck EP, the KE//ER label once again refers to the enormous talent of the Berlin producer.

Bernardo Barrera, one half of Los Fugazzi, but best known as Mufti, delivers two tracks full to the brim with guitar licks, analogue squelches, dark corners, creative juice and a generous dose of serotonin. The title track, 'Mess My Mind' is a dark foray into sound with a frankly unhinged vocal, which evokes sleaze, sex, narcosis and madness, while 'Rutina', although keeping the pace, uses overdriven distorted guitars and sinister synth sounds to create a mood all of its own. Propping up the originals with their own unique takes are Niv Ast and Middle Sky Boom, who will be joining the label for the first time. 
Niv Ast ramps up the kick drum and brings out the animal noises for 'Rutina' in a hypnotic reworking, while taking a vocal snippet from the original and turning it into a chant, giving the mix a slightly heavier punch to the brooding original mix.
