COLD TRANSMISSION LABEL NIGHT / 17.10.2026, DAD RIND, RÜSSELSHEIM

ABOUT THE ALBUM:
Chemical, an album by Death Loves Veronica, is a perverse, dark-electronic journey infused with themes of nihilism, inhibition, and deception. Heavily saturated with post-industrial and gothic influences, this album is a corruption of the expected and resonates with the disillusion of our times. Recorded with analog synths and minimal guitar work, Chemical is a daring undertaking for solo artist Veronica Campbell. Veronica recorded the framework of this album within a two-week time period while in recovery from an intensive health-related surgery. With limited use of her arms, she dove into the more technical capabilities of her favorite synthesizers, obsessively crafting each sound and, as usual, keeping her distance from the use of MIDI. The album’s title is as a reminder of what collectively fuels the human race—and what can increase or dull our pain. This album tells a dark story. It is driven and propelled from someplace deviant within, an expression of the artist’s true self. Chemical is set for release by Cold Transmission Music on May 21, 2021.HISTORY Veronica is the creator, composer, and vocalist of electro/darkwave/post-punk, and at times post-industrial, solo project DEATH LOVES VERONICA. Her first demo album, Vampiros Electric (2018), was widely described as a cold wave-minimalist sound created with a variety of synth work and distinctly clean vocals. Veronica's first stage appearances were at age 15 as she wrote and performed originally in punk rock. She then moved into studio work with deathrock band Veronica's Veil in the early 90s. As the former singer of legendary, but now defunct, Veronica's Veil, Veronica opened for acts such as 45 Grave, David J (of Bauhaus, Love and Rockets), Lydia Lunch, and has been billed alongside Kommunity FK, Fear, The Adicts, and several others. In 2000, Veil was included on a tribute album to Rozz Williams, formally of Christian Death. After an extensive hiatus and the loss of their guitarist, Veil attempted a two year long reformation and recorded a studio album that is yet to be released. Veil then disbanded again. Veronica's focus became her solo project, and released the In Nightmares EP on April 1, 2019. This album retains a lot of darkwave electro sound while incorporating post-punk and deathrock elements that stem from her original artistic roots. A collection of her works has been released on European label Swiss Dark Nights entitled, Three Acts. It was then followed by a full-length album, Lucid Dreams. When not in the studio or writing, Veronica was performing with the Death Loves Veronica live act until shows were cancelled due to the outbreak of COVID-19. Veronica is a BMI registered composer.
It was announced on January 23, 2021 that Veronica had signed on with Cold Transmission Music. Veronica has been vocal about the importance of addressing mental health issues and is in treatment for neurological conditions such as Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD), and Chronic Migraines. She urges people to embrace their differences and to seek help when available. Veronica has composed music and played several instruments since childhood which helped her to cope with sensory issues, learning disabilities, and childhood abuse. Colombian darkwave duo NOROMAKINA, presents its debut album “Vile Vortex”. Formed by Mel Zb and Pluszeichen, NOROMAKINA combines the present with the past in a wide palette of sounds from vintage and modern analog synthesizers and machines, getting a lo-fi character through sundry processes and effects. The result is a dark and mysterious atmosphere with a lot of power.

Noromakina - Fragmental [COLD TRANSMISSION MUSIC]

The song Vital talks about feeling strong and not having the need, but having the ability to turn away from things or people that attract us but that, on the other hand, we know are not good for us. Enjoy life, look at the sunrise or sunset with a smile, live in the dark but be Vital.

Taken from the album "Zodiac Carousel":
Mina Loy is guiding us to the moon. We will hear tales of misdemeanours and regretful episodes, of unfulfilled destiny, faded glory and forgotten dreams. The Weather Underground are on the run. Martin Kippenberger has blocked the exits. Thomas Mann is at the beach. And all the stars have faded in the Zodiac Carousel…

Years of Denial & Teatre - In Circles [COLD TRANSMISSION MUSIC]

How can we preserve our intimacy, when we’re stuck in a public space? While facing solitude or grief, we wish that we could make the whole world disappear around us. Tilda Vaast feels out of place during her stay in the city of Marseille and she would like to blur all the lines. She nurtures a deep resentment and would like to teleport or dissolve herself out of space and time.

Blending influences from progressive house, trance, and techno, Close Proximity infuse “Light Haze” with driving basslines, dreamlike pads, and a hypnotic rhythmic flow. Their remix builds with dynamic energy, capturing the euphoria of the dancefloor while preserving the ethereal emotion of Rina Pavar’s original. 🖤

Trace
In search of wondrous
meaningful diversions
novel transformations
transitory acts of care and defiance
Diversity escapes the "seeming real" where all that is imposed and inhumane presents itself as the inevitable truth.
We celebrate diversity, we work together.
Not artists but against the odds, artisans and friends.
We make music, we share it and reinvent ourselves.
