INTO DARKNESS

I kept wanting to add shit to this but said fuck it and rolled with it. I laid down something simple with my Korg Synth and played a loop from the DR-660 under it. Then I took my guitar and played live over the whole thing in one take. I fucking suck at guitar, so for it to sound good (to me) in one solid take made me not want to do any editing. Only thing I did was mess with the drums a bit so it was (slightly) less boring. They are also way too loud but the way it was recorded make it a nightmare to bring the drums down.

Late Night Jam Session

For what I’ve been through, I feel most comfortable with melancholy and depressing stuff. The problem I’ve learned is what I consider depressing and dark doesn’t feel that way to y’all. I can’t find any vocal samples to pull from that have the feeling I want, and my voice is fucking terrible no matter how many times I try to use it. I don’t want just violent sounding vocals. I want vocals that make me feel super fucking depressed like it’s time to just end it. I have no fucking clue where to find vocals like that. So I keep pulling from the same pool of samples I already have.
