This song is reflective in nature, and conveys a sense of conflict as to the nature of change, which can bring both constructive growth and destruction. Specifically this song deals with the nature of change as it pertains to relationships. There is a sense of longing for times past and a flicker of hope that the flare of old times may be recaptured. The track may also convey a sense of appreciation for a relationship once taken for granted.
