A BIG thank you to Derek Scott for making this the first "Buy Request" song! It was challenging (to say the least)

I really love this song, and have wanted to do it for a while, but it was too intimidating to tackle until I was forced to do it haha. I loved it. There is still more I want to do with it, but ehre is a rough first draft!

Ice Age (How To Destroy Angels Cover)

This was a "Buy Request" song from Logan Peter. I really love this piece for the particular mood and story of the song. It was very touching to connect with the theme in that way.

To be quite honest, it was hard to get into it at first, because the mood is so very specific. It comes from a dark place, and I haven't been there in a while, but it's good to be reminded that it's there, to appreciate the good times that much more.

Santa Baby

This is one of my favorite Christmas songs- the meaning, to me, is so heart-wrenching, that it moves me every time (you can tell I get choked up in the recording, if you listen).

We're not always fortunate enough to be with our loved ones on Christmas, and whether you're traveling, with friends, or alone, this song can speak to everyone.

The photo I have attached to this song... wow, it it still so potent in my memory. This was a homeless man on the bus, riding 'home' to his tent under a bridge in Downtown LA...

I'll Be Home For Christmas

Growing up in Colorado, I was fortunate to have spent most holidays in a snowy wonderland. It wasn't until I moved to LA that this song really began hitting home.

I dedicate this song to everyone who has experienced a white Christmas, and dreams of returning, if only for the length of this piece.

White Christmas

This song was originally written and performed by Leroy Carr who cut the tune in Chicago in 1929. Though the nature of the song is quite melancholy, as the singer is "locked up" during the holidays, Leroy wrote the lyrics to be a bit satirical, and used common blues tropes throughout the piece.

Fortunately for me, it was raining (a rare thing in Los Angeles), and I decided to record this on my front door steps as a 1-shot, live recording, in the rain.
