Robert Dietz teams up with Switzerland's Alci for the second release on his Truth Be Told imprint.

The 3-track TBT 002 is split equally between the pair, with a collaborative effort sandwiched between a solo outing from each producer. Head honcho Dietz gets the EP underway with a hypnotic slice of tech house in 'Tan Tropez'. Sultry and mysterious, the track is laden with clicks and odd samples that give off a sense of inebriation, like getting lost in a forest of swirling bodies on a dimly lit dancefloor.

You can pick up 'Tan Tropez' with the rest of TBT 002 from October 19th. Dietz and Alci have also announced an collaborative mixtape is in the works, along with plans for a number of special b2v sets, so keep your eyes on DT for all the latest.

Noha & Alex Tea’s musical relationship is one that’s yielded great results to date, chiefly as result of their work together on the Panick EP, the inaugural release on Noha and Alex’s increasingly essential Panick Panick! label. Here, they team up with distinction once more for the label’s fourth release, the only difference being that this time they do so under their Patagonia moniker. If this one is a sign of things to come, it’s an alias that looks set to bare serious fruit over the next while.

A two tracker full of heady, intoxicating vibes, we get underway courtesy of the rushed, dubs flavours of ‘Rimane Senza’. A multilayered cut that boasts a relentless edge, it stops only for breath when its sporadic vocal flourish enters the equation. Dark and banging but with featuring just enough light at the end of the tunnel, it’s an all-round engrossing cut with a stuffy demeanour that’s hard not to appreciate.

The A side sees the duo revert to more percussion-led planes, courtesy of ‘Chi Ci Pensa’. The sort of weapon that’s sure to go down a treat with latin-inclined DJs such as Ricardo Villalobos and Luciano, this one’s already got an airing at Sunwaves courtesy of [a:rpia:r], who unleashed it to great acclaim at the renowned Romanian festival. Full of swing and smile-induced vibes, this one may well prove to be one of the biggest tracks of the summer. Expect this one to play out across European dancefloor’s over the coming months.

As we found in our review of the first Saktu release, Saktu Records is @heisenbergspb‘s sub-label and the newborn vinyl-only project of Aleksander Tsyrin, also known as @sashakaktus. Sasha told us the label's philosophy and intentions were to release 'analog, deep and raw' records on 180gr wax.

The second release is a four-track EP titled 'Untitled Space' with two originals from Sasha himself and two remixes, one from Italian duo Jamahr and one from an old friend, Russian artist Anrilov.

A-side 'Untitled Space' has plenty going for it. Rolling drums dominate alongside a heavy blend of acid but it's the remix from Italian duo Jamahr that is the star of this EP. Fresh off the back of their release on What NxT Records earlier this year, the emerging Italians deliver a fantastic rework that is a much more stripped back house track than the original. The rolling drums and acid vibes remain this time combining with warm synths to create a smooth yet groovy 4x4 dancefloor cut.

B-side 'Ruki V Boki' is slower, spacier and a little bit out there which is absolutely a good thing. It has a recurring whistle throughout, alongside 90s minimal kicks and clangs - there's even a slight touch of breakbeat about it as it tamely drops. The Anrilov remix is totally different from the original. The Russian producer has added more drums and taken away the spacy elements, adding a creepier, voodoo approach.
