Burger Steak is back with his second ever release for us. The BS-Style can be best described as a suspenseful blend of slowed down DnB, Electro and jazzy early 70s movie soundtracks. Krypton8 is the darker tune here with Sci-fi pads and mysterious bleeps and noises. Krypton87 almost has a song structure with distorted lyrics on top (if you can make out what they say, the drinks are on us), mandolin (sic!), brass instruments and flutes and its overall vibe remind us a bit of early Yello recordings. We hope you enjoy these two beautiful pieces as much as we do.

On the same day that man took his first steps on the Moon, a few hours after the triumphant Apollo 11 mission, one of the most important figures in Brazilian electronic music was born: Anderson Noise.

The DJ and producer began his career in the late 80s and was responsible for shaping and guiding the still primitive direction of Brazilian dance music, whether behind some of the most legendary parties in the mid-90s and 00s, the first radio station dedicated to electronic music in the country or the first Brazilian techno label, Noise Music — the word "first" is often used when we talk about Noise.

With an incessantly productive rhythm, Anderson has completed 35 years of career with no sign of any possible slowdown — quite the opposite. With a rare energy, Noise has become a kind of institution and synonymous of Brazilian techno, with a relevance that doesn't conform to past merits, but remains fresh and current whether through its own releases and performance schedule, or through its constant involvement with new projects.

Noise's a figure that we constantly celebrate and has already been featured in Alataj's main columns and podcasts, but now it's time for his debut on Troally. For volume 379, the Minas Gerais native explores the facets of techno that are part of his musical universe established over these almost four decades, while also explaining the reasons why the position he occupies is definitely for few.

379: Anderson Noise

Step into a sonic paradox with Alejandro Vasconez's "Momento Inédito EP", where every kick feels like a fragment of time suspended in motion. The EP captures the essence of fleeting moments—unwritten, unexpected, and profound. Alejandro's original tracks weave deep grooves and melodic intricacies, pulling listeners into a vortex where rhythm meets reflection.

Martin Deen's remix elevates the EP into another dimension, reinterpreting its essence with a bold momentum that bends time itself. Pulsing basslines, atmospheric textures, and driving energy create a journey that feels both eternal and immediate.

"Momento Inédito" is more than music; it's an exploration of time's duality—where each second lingers and races ahead.

Alejandro Vasconez - Aprendizaje [ROMEP057] (snippet)

The latest release from Wind Horse Records dips once again into India’s fertile deep house movement, this time exposing Mumbai-based DJ / producer Troja to an awaiting global audience. The Shanti EP, consisting of three top notch house tracks, should handily further this goal.

“Shanti” leads the three originals on the EP, instantly mesmerizing with its ringing sitars and vocal chants led forward by a heartbeat-like rhythm. Tabla percussion flourishes and chiming synth melodies add to the deep house cut’s eastern appeal. This sound is expanded with “Ghats”, which adds mystical flute lines and churning layers of percussion to the dance floor equation.The track builds to an exotic bounce as plucked strings and a rising synth drone work to charm the listener. “Mantra” features a deeper, punchier rhythm and intriguing vocals of a magical persuasion. The hypnotic combination of the languid bass line and sparse beats make this one an after-hours treat for intimate venues.

Three fantastic remixes compliment Troja’s addictive originals. Berlin duo Gudio Schneider and Daniel Dreier (Highgrade, Moon Harbour) present their ‘Aztecs Explore India’ remix of “Shanti” which blends the original’s textures into a 14 minute masterwork. The voices and instruments fade in and out of the mix while the remixers’ solid house rhythm and melodic arpeggiation lines confidently anchor the production.

Wind Horse Records’ own Kali G also tackles “Shanti”, going for a dubbier treatment that plays with splashes of percussion and echoed instrumentation to create a satisfying aural journey. Another duo, Bahrain’s Zone+ & Usif, are on hand for a version of “Ghats” that may be the deepest effort on the EP. Calming key pads and hand-drum heavy beats combine with smooth sub-bass and swelling snatches of the original cut. It’s a lovely remix, showing the depth of deep house through its continuing global exchange of sound and ideas.

Qi is the central underlying principle in Chinese traditional medicine and in Chinese martial arts. The practice of cultivating and balancing qi is called qigong. Believers of qi describe it as a vital energy, the flow of which must be balanced for health. Qi is a pseudoscientific, unverified concept, which has never been directly observed, and is unrelated to the concept of energy used in science (vital energy itself being an abandoned scientific notion).

Home Switch Home se trata de un proyecto realizado para apoyar a Switch Pocket Club en estos tiempos de pandemia, un pequeño bar icónico en el barrio de Gracia de Barcelona y hogar de la cultura electrónica underground de la ciudad. 

Todos los artistas involucrados en esta recopilación solían tocar en el club y querían colaborar regalando temas exclusivos. El resultado es una linda variedad de géneros bien conectados, desde el slowmo hasta el electro, house y techno con melodías potentes y otras más profundas y con un toque ácido. Este será el primer lanzamiento de Lucasian Records, un nuevo sello creado para la ocasión por Deckard(propietario de Switch Pocket Club).
