Colin Broom is a composer based in Glasgow, Scotland. He studied Composition at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music & Drama.

He has composed music for numerous ensembles and musicians including Maxwell Quartet, Icebreaker, Orchestra of Opera North, Ensemble Thing, Red Note, Tyrolean Ensemble for Contemporary Music and South Bank Gamelan. His music has been broadcast on BBC Radio 3, Radio Scotland, Radio Magnetic and Radio Icebreaker.

He teaches Composition at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
