My dear friend and partner is crime, Mr Thom Horvat, has a certain affinity for the party-business coif. He has short hair now, but a guy can dream. I wrote him this theme song of sorts to help him along in this wonderful time in his life.

Colin Close is a fifth-generation Yukoner; born and raised in the North. Growing up in a log home just outside of Whitehorse provided him with an endless world to explore. When he finally picked up the guitar at age 13, all his years of wandering and exploring started to come out in a very natural musical fashion. And he continues to wander and explore with his guitar and notebook always nearby. 

Some have coined his sound as folk-Canadiana, but he counters in his claim as being ‘A Young man telling stories, hiding behind an Old guitar'. Growing up, Colin Close was listening to and being inspired by Canadian artists such as Blue Rodeo and Stompin' Tom Connors as well as old blues singers, including Muddy Waters and T-Bone Walker. 

Colin has appeared as the opening act for Canadian acts Joel Plaskett, Billy the Kid, and Willhorse; most recently opening for Lucy Rose (UK) at the Starlite Room (Edmonton, AB). All shows that have enforced his direction in the industry and helped him grow into his place both on and off-stage. "Colin is a remarkable young troubadour who spins together story and melody with a grace beyond his years." says Billy the Kid.

Colin, once again, calls the Yukon 'home' and lives in the mountains with his dog, 'Bennett'.
