C.R. Gillespie selects a CanRockSampler of tracks by foundational experimental artists from his adopted province of Ontario, Canada. Ranging from the University of Toronto Electronic Music Studio's dusty musique concréte, through the Fluxus-like ranting of London's Nihilist Spasm Band, up to the pastoral wilderness aura of  Huntsville's Beverly Glenn-Copeland, this mix is crafted as an informal informative; a Northern analogue to the parallel
 psychedelic musings of the time.

"Having long admired the work of Tokyo’s Sapphire Slows, Hidden Harmony Recordings is overjoyed to present her remix of Morita Vargas’ “Deysa” (from the upcoming release of ‘8’). Dappled with hypnotic murmurs percolating beneath synthesized hand-percussion, “Deysa” mutates further from Vargas’ elegiac vision, seemingly disappearing down glowing, vine-covered corridors. While sharing the same nocturnal yearnings and rhythmic lushness, Sapphire Slows summons a unique, luminescent dialect, like a prism viewed from a new angle.”
