@mdmaghdalene (she/they) is a DJ, performer, singer/songwriter. She is resident for @egreg-re (Toulouse), Tempio del Futuro Perduto (Milan) and is co-founder of @unitsoeurs collective (Lyon).
Resolutely hybrid, her post-club approach to djing is deeply connected to urban dance, bass music and hip-hop culture.

For this first instalment in our guest mix series, we’re going eastbound with the Iaroslavl (Ярославль) based collective AnyAct.

They came under our radar thanks to @lockedclub, standard bearers (and balaclava wearers) of the recent Russian electro tidal wave. Backed by the likes of @privatepersons and @urwaxx, or the most recent @noservicesorry and @cyberjit, they leave no one uscathed in their wake.

It’s no wonder that AnyAct are delivering the same kind of all guns blazing productions. Their 4-tracker released last year blends techno with raw electro basslines, breaks and the occasional guitar riff. Their most recent single – Donald’s Dream - veers into rave territory, tapping into trancey bassline and melodies with cheeky samples from a couple of America’s most notorious troublemakers.

This guest mix sealed the deal for us and should get you covered in this time of dire need for escapism, a banging wild ride from start to finish!

Une progression lente pour un set 100% disco mais suffisamment tonique pour donner envie de se lever et danser.

Décollage en douceur avec deux tracks de @asa-moto101, turbulences annoncées avec @dc-salas et @themansisters pour commencer à se remuer, explosion en plein vol avec @pardonmoiband, @roliva ainsi que @terr_music pour finir sur un parachutage maîtrisé avec @phunkadelica.

#014 - Timo Trouz - Disconfinement

We're stoked that the brilliant rhythm experimenter and Glasgow-based Polish producer TRSSX takes over for this third podcast of our guest mix series.

Not only has he shared top-line posters with Identified Patient, Morah or even VTSS but he is also the head of the puzzling @wodawater label that explores post-club drum patterns and leftfield switch-ups.

Often fitting in more beats than meets the ear, his productions are ranging from deep and deconstructed anthems to noisy dub cuts. There's something rough and eerie about it, but always earthy in the end in the way certain drums time-stretch and disintegrate.

#013 - Poda - Noonrave

This new guest mix is coming in hot from Venezuela's most relentless rookie, Dagga. 

After relocating his HQ in Bogotá, he quickly got scouted by @jensen-interceptor to provide close range weapons to all the chromies. The follow-up was a barrage of homing missiles - straight from the gutters of @steelcitydancediscs !
If he geared up to deliver a sustained burst throughout the year so far, he's not done just yet and will leave you with just enough time to take cover before the second heat-wave: a new EP on @internationalchrome is around the corner. And with a stash full of ghetto tricks he's currently working on with @djfuckoff, you can be sure 2021 will also be his year!

He decided to share with us a more personal mix, showcasing not only his indisputable talent, but also a genuine appreciation of all things electro with this carefully devised trip.
