Step Daw는 크루 'INTO THE DEEP'의 창립자로, 2011년 Arthur Lastmann과 함께 시작하여 2012년 이후 파리 언더그라운드 전자 음악 씬의 혁신에 핵심적인 역할을 해왔다. Djoon을 시작으로 Badaboum의 레지던시를 거쳤으며, Concrete, 6B, La Machine, Batofar, Wanderlust와 같은 파리를 대표하는 클럽과 공간에서 프로모터로 활동하며 다양한 아티스트들과 협업하였다. 대표적으로 Hunee, Palms Trax, Antal, Larry Heard, Jane Fitz, Lena Willikens, Gilles Peterson, Joey Negro 등을 꼽을 수 있다.

2015년 부터는 현대 전자 음악에 특화된 'Into The Deep Records’ 레코드 레이블을 운영, 이 후 2019년에 서브 레이블 'Into The Deep Treasury’를 창립하여 전 세계 곳곳 에서 음악을 발굴하고 재발매하는데 전념하였다.

2018년에는 프랑스 낭트에서 ‘Bubble Jam' 콜렉티브를 창립하여 우리가 흔히 클럽으로 생각하지 않는 의외의 장소에서 소규모 파티를 기획하는 프로젝트를 진행하였다. 그는 2021년 ’Abstrack' 의 크루 및 레코드 레이블에 합류하여 현재까지도 활발한 활동을 이어오고 있다.

Founder of the crew INTO THE DEEP in 2011 with Arthur Lastmann, they played a key role in the renewal of Paris underground electronic scene as a promoter in most clubs and music venues since 2012. Helding a residency at Djoon first, then Badaboum, he has been around most of the clubs in Paris (Concrete, 6B, La Machine, Batofar, Wanderlust) and shared the decks with the likes of Hunee, Palms Trax, Antal, Larry Heard, Jane Fitz, Lena Willikens, Gilles Peterson or Joey Negro.

Step Daw also started “Into The Deep records” in 2015, a record label specialized in contemporary electronic music. 2019 have seen the creation of Into The Deep Treasury, sub-label dedicated to reissues of music from around the globe.

During 2018, Step Daw moved to Nantes, France and founded the Bubble Jam collective to offer intimate parties in atypical places outside the club circuit. Step Daw also joined the Abstrack crew & record label in 2021.

Behind its ramparts—built by order of Louis XIV to defend Marseille’s harbor—the Île Degaby shelters a military fort, named in honor of Admiral Costentin de Tourville. It retained its military purpose until the early 20th century, before being sold by the State to a Marseille industrialist. He gave it its current name, as a tribute to his mistress, the dancer Liane Degaby. The island has been the subject of countless dreams and unfinished projects, changing hands several times without ever truly opening itself to the people of Marseille. Until May 2024, when its pop-up bar and restaurant finally opened!

As a promoter, his friendly and libertarian party called Dada Club provides a sharp & festive old-school spirit with a staggering scenography. For this 9th stereo podcast, Joren changed his mind set due to the lockdown and delivered a slow ghetto house journey, waving between smooth and darker atmosphere.

Here is @Cheb-Gero aka Fabrice Gery, a music lover, chronic collector, record dealer and label owner (@Akuphone). His nickname, coming from a homage to Algerian Raï singers (Cheb) and a reference to a Japanese noise cult band (Gero) illustrates the diversity of his musical worlds. Cheb Gero is in search of the most psychedelic and progressive 1960s and 70s bands from East to West, North to South. Many musical worlds could be used to describe his influence, and this one hour journey is just perfect to explore all styles and niches that came to his ears.
