The session begins as a contemplative cruise down the river, under dense drone canopies. The light is piercing through the branches and you can hear dubby rythhms, bouncing on the humid and decaying surfaces. Herons, frogfishes, tarantula wasps and other hallucinatory creatures bloom in your field of vision, without even noticing your presence. 

Then the trip gets more turbulent as the tempo increases, letting place to atmospheric broken beats, and concluding in the 140 sacred realms.

Mangrove estuaries are the habitat of many animal and plant organisms. They are "ecotones", biological corridors that represent crucial buffer zones between sea and land, especially for the mitigation of storms, tsunamis, sea level rise and erosion. Mangrove trees having a fast growth and a high photosynthetic efficiency, their soils are also very efficient carbon sinks. 

Yet mangroves are disappearing three to five times faster than global forest loss, with severe ecological and socio-economic impacts. This deforestation, which is mostly due to human activities, is caused by intensive wood exploitation but also by the installation of aquaculture ponds  for the export of shrimps to globalized markets. Current estimates indicate that mangrove cover has been halved over the past 40 years. (UNESCO, 2021).

Machining Dreams w. Hakim Murphy invites G Marcell on the latest episode of machining dreams!! Since Hakim's youth, he believes that music has touched him in a way that made him fall in love with its rhythms, harmonies, and melodies. So in the natural progression dancing took over his body, but yet his soul craved for more and that is when playing records surfaced. Ah, then the fascination with the fast dance tracks turned into deep House production through friends and experiences, which then blossomed into a Bachelor’s degree in music composition. Liberal arts training allowed him to take classes and learn about human intellect, nature, and essentially develop his personal definition of art. Synapsis Records and Machining Dreams record labels are born and are currently releasing music by, for, and from the underground. Then after learning the craft, collaborations were born as he is part of In Pegasus Heat, Resonating, Hardware Hustlerz, Slowmotion and Dream Scoring. G. Marcell: Words of inspiration to get the world moving 360 positive. If no one today have told you that you are loved let me be the first, you are loved. G.Marcell started spinning at 89.3 WKKC on Sound Waves in Chicago on Saturday back in 1991 (as Suga Bear). In between now and then G. Marcell have beat up clubs and parties from Chicago to Indiana on up to Michigan. As far as releases go, in 2002 dropping his first E.P. w/ Bumpincity entitled “The Definition Of G. Marcell” was the start of his journey as a producer. Since then, G. Marcell have worked and produced remixes for different underground labels such as, Underground Uncensored, Noble Square Recordings (NSR), Synapsis, Minimalizm and also have started his own label. And for artist that he have worked with…….. Well………… Ricardo Miranda, Amir Alexander, Hakim Murphy and more. As of now he continues to produce and remix music and stay on a spiritual plane in the process.

Co-creator of the Zone Rouge collective (@zone-rouge-zone-rouge) and programmer for the Macadam Club in Nantes (@androgyneproductions), Aasana (@aasana) is a free electron who knows how to draw on a crowd's energy to open a passage towards different worlds, where breaks and IDM would make hope and nostalgia coexist. It is a real treat to experience her performances, generously overflown with all her diverse sensibilities and infused with bass music and organic techno.

In this session, she takes us in a free fall down her imaginary, venturing inside a dark cenote in the heart of the rainforest, where the intensity of tribal rhythms, heavy bass and supernatural sounds resonate together.

The cenotes are places of geological curiosity that link the surface to the underground by the collapse of limestone soils, thus giving access to dark aquatic caves. 

Considered as passages to the afterlife by the Mayans who practiced there rituals and offerings, they are also unique natural spaces with dense fauna and flora, including several endemic species. These ecosystems are affected by mass tourism and inappropriate agro-industrial practices, threatening them with toxic chemicals and saline water. The impact of these pollutions have very deleterious effects on both the ecosystems and the local farming communities who rely on the cenotes for drinking water. 

The recognition of these phenomena has allowed some cenotes to be placed under institutional protection, even if some conflicts of interest with the tourist economy are emerging. Some local populations are also fighting for the protection of these sources of life.
