Moving around within underground music spheres of Paris and beyond, Roman Delore crafts her productions between techno, experimental and ambient. Rinse resident since 2017, she is the host of monthly show Tri Sélectif, focusing on recent releases and telling their story, sometimes joined by a guest and other times relying on her own solo sensibility.

We were very excited to host Exist Palestine, who hold their first-ever Berlin event at Oona Bar, Weserstr. 166 on Saturday, August 20th.

Exist is a festival and event series founded in Palestine, with the aim of building bridges between artists, musicians, DJs and curators from Palestine and across the globe. Its broad, transnational family are united in a desire to use art to impact their environments in critical ways, and through their engagement with anti-colonialism in the context of Palestine and beyond.

Exist Festival’s event at Refuge Worldwide will include DJ sets by Exist extended family members Ciarra Black, Dirar Kalash, Falyakon, Kujo, Oldyungmayn, Sainte Marina, No Plastic and the festival's co-founders Odai Masri and Bint Mbareh. 

There will also be two installations on-site at Oona: an audiovisual installation by Sarah Risheq titled if_the_archive_could_speak, exploring Palestinian physical and mental archives; and a sound piece by Dirar Kalash called To Exist In Sound, which draws from audio recordings of the 1948 Nakba and 1967 Naksa.

Welcome to Gated's 43rd podcast.
This month we're proud to present an exclusive experimental modular set recorded  live by O-Ma and Pierre Montagnon over periods of lockdown.  Tokyo based O-Ma is well known in the scene there for his mind bending, gritty and grimey sonic adventures in and around the megalopolis but also in the Japanese mountainous countryside festivals that periodically crop up through the year. 
Combined with talented musician and producer Pierre (based in France and Switzerland), who has a penchant for ambient collages and experimentation (think Stockhausen, the Berlin school , Pan sonic, the Raster-noton label etc..) and you know we're in for a wild ride off the beaten track. The set is riddled with beauty and terror in equal measure.
Just before that Node serves up some quality Gated tracks either out now or mastered and ready for future release.  
These are dishes best served via nice quality audio devices, be it headphones or speakers.

efja is a multiform electronics imprint operated by lunar convoy. This new endeavor will mainly focus on the experimental & abstract side of things, with a healthy dose of psychotropism. Man of many trades, lunar convoy has been on the forefront of Brussels club scene since 2015, with regular appearances at C12 and Fuse and his event series Metropolis (co-founder). He’s also co-running a successful deep techno label called NORITE. However with efja, he has set to steer away from any conservative club structures and instead embrace the odd and uncertain.

Avilynn founded her label Taisha with the idea of altering the relationship between artist and music lover, and shifting their exchange away from the digital domain and back to the physical world.

The focus of the label is on releasing physical products – with emphasis on supporting physical record stores – as well as the use of the cityscape as the primary interface between musician and potential music listener. Access to Avilynn's music and multimedia output is made possible through stickers scattered about different city scapes (all over the world) which feature personal quotes from the artist and QR codes. Life experiences in macro and micro; daily reveries and introspections; byproducts of clubbing and city life...converted into sonic frequencies.


A four track vinyl-only EP that traverses hybrid techno subgenres. Hypnotic, opiate and cinematic – the stuff ready-made for synesthetes. Side A explores rich, multiplex, down-tempo soundscapes, while Side B is dancefloor oriented and focused on building different themes using the track structure. The highlight of the EP is the song ‘’Never Relax'', inspired by the realities of producing hidecibel club music in a house full of sound-sensitive neighbours.
