This debut release is a postmodern-rock gem. Lo-fi guitars hovering above slaughterhouse beats are kept buoyant by electro flourishes creating a track awash with arena pop sensibility. The confessional lyric, which front man Glenn Patrick sets alight while wearing his Britpop tendencies on his sleeve, explores addiction in just the way it should be communicated—brash but with a pensive sweetness.

Spring's Grand Finale Part 2

An anti-establishment ode disguised as a dizzying after-hours club floor anthem. Glenn Patrick's pleas are barely restrained as it rallies against a feverish electro backbone fleshed out by pummelling drums, insidious riffs and chant hooks. Beneath the apocalyptic blasts, there is a deeper craving, a song which is a call-up as much as it is a provocation.

The third instalment in the Collegians’ story comes in the form of an electronica soaked sucker punch Killer. Don’t let the mood of the opening swathes of melodic charm fool you, your head and heart soon get a decent dose of gleaming indie swagger and art rock fervor. Following on from the award-winning smashes Vaccine and Black Mass, this song edges towards the experimental but delivers a chorus whose resolve is as intense as it is effortlessly formularized, providing yet another opportunity for Glenn Patrick’s inexhaustible vocal to bring to the boil all the ingredients and elements of the band's indefinable musical travelogue. Killer is a stylistic tilt away from Collegians’ usual focus but signals a side to them which promises all the hallmarks of a unified group of musicians scaling the crest of modernity in the music world.
