Tom Newman is back with his new single Vis a Viś, via Collekt Records! This is a record with a house core; strong and impactful drums and a groovy baseline. Newman then applies his signature style with a dynamic arrangement which bridges from phrase to phrase seamlessly, then enticing you with sweeping lead lines and a vocal that has you chanting on each drop.

Gracing the air waves for Volume 20 of our mix series ‘Collekt Sessions’ is our long time friend… Ryskee (Ryan Ala’i) ! 

Ryskee is one of the most likeable characters we have had the pleasure of knowing & is quickly becoming a staple name in the Queenstown scene. He is also the Co-Founder of Spicytech, which has been supplying underground house and techno parties in both AKL & QT. 

It was a no brainer to get him onboard for a guest mix as his taste in music is top tier & he has gifted us with a romper of a mix, packed full of deep & minimal goodness with tunes from the likes of Archie Hamilton, Hector Cuoto, Rossi & THEOS.

For Volume 22 of ‘Collekt Sessions’ we traverse to the capital & welcome the man, the myth, the mullet - Techno Tradie (Carlos McQuillan) to the airwaves for a very special full vinyl guest mix! 🛠

The key figure behind the highly regarded On Behalf fell head over heels for the wax during lockdown last September & he hasn’t looked back. Carlos has dug deep through multiple crates for this mix, dodging needles & selecting LPs at random

VOLUME 25 is graced by Christchurch house-hero Patella with live accompaniment by Rachael Travaille on the Sax. This was recorded live with the two on support for Black Loops at Flux in Ōtautahi from over the weekend.

Patella dived into our inbox, sent us the recording & it is too good not to share. A refreshing silky house set laced with some quality impromptu Sax. Turn it up, max out that volume & thank us later!

Conor has become a close friend of ours within the scene over the last year. We teamed up with Lacuna in June 2022 on a whim & threw a sold out show in the capital with UK powerhouse Jansons. Since then, he has joined us & helped with the successful debut of Collekt & Friends in January

Joined by DJ/Producer duo Tango who were well overdue for a feature. 

The duo is comprised of two close friends, Dylan Wright & Raoul Marinthe, two great staples in Auckland's electronic music scene as well as being staples on many of our lineups over the years. 

Big love to Dylan & Raoul for delivering this soothing minimal/deep tech inspired mix. Great sounds throughout as expected & packed with some tasty nuggets that we will be pinching for our own sets!

Fellow Wellingtonian, now full-time Melbournite, Jack Royal jumps into the mixer supplying us with his redefined taste in soulful house, disco, funk & classics in an all-out vinyl mix special for Volume 37.

Having spent a good chunk of time with Jack through our uni years in the deep south of Dunedin, we shared lineups at local events & most notably some very memorable house parties along the way.

Now residing in the bustling music metropolis of Melbourne & spending his time digging for hidden gems, we thought it be the perfect time to touch base with Jack, get him on the series & share his inspirations from across the ditch & what sounds he is currently amping.

With a wealth of experience DJing to many crowds both abroad and locally here in NZ, Brydie knows how to get a room moving; for those that were at Sets & Sails this year, IYKYK! 

Brydie has provided us with an hour of peak time house, tech and minimal blends, perfect to get the energy up before a festival or for the little hours at posties.
