As soon as I heard the massive-sounding snares in Toontrack's new Rock Solid EZX (recorded by Randy Staub) I wanted to try them in a heavy mix context. I made this drum mix based around that idea, blending my favourite kit elements from the Avatar, Metal Machine and Metal Foundry packs in there too.
