Minimal Techno is, I think, a very misunderstood genre. Since I started delving into the world of Minimal, I’ve got completely enthralled in it and really haven’t been listening to anything else over the past few months. My first minimal type mix - Minimalistic - focused on the more upbeat, bouncy - funky type tunes. This is a little different, it starts off quite deep and dark and goes off in a few different directions after that, but focuses on the more dirty & driving side of what I’m into right now.

I recorded this mix for a radio show a few weeks ago, but also had something like this in mind over the past couple of years. The chance to have this featured on the show in question just gave me the kickstart to get my finger out.... and do it!

A little different from some of my previous offerings..... a deep and extremely melodic journey into some of the electronic music I've been feeling the past couple of years, with some original Italo and breakbeat-y stuff peppering the mix also, with the crank-up really coming in the last third. Recorded on my beloved Condesa Lucia - smooth as butter :)

Had a great time recording this (even if it took me 2 attempts ha) - it's a happy, uplifting, hopeful and at certain moments... melancholic mix.
