this song is just messing around. feels like the few times i let my mind wander. playing whatever i feel like, i felt super depressed around this period in my life. although before i stopped playing (for now i hope) i was still uploading cool stuff and actually Doing Things, i lived away from my parents and found more time to write stuff. i now live back with my parents and i've been fighting the horrible Bout of depression i got coming towards the end of my 2 year law degree. i figured out eventually, after the breakdown, once i got a job, that i fucking hate law. it was depressing me so much (something to do with the culture, feel, vibe, you name it something like that, don't wanna pick it further apart) but i just put up with it for two years cause i felt like that was just the shit you had to go through to make good money. but in reality i don't give a fuck about money. working throughout this summer has healed me so well and i feel really happy. but its really important to remember the bad times just as much as you remember the good ones, so i'm uploading this as a gentle picture of how bad it can be, so history doesn't repeat itself

i don’t feel the same way towards the people i used to idolise anymore. the things that you naturally admire change gradually. from teenage years of reading deeper meanings into music and making it meaningful to you- looking up to musicians. my opinions haven’t changed but i admire other qualities in people more now. i like when people are sharp of wit, patient, and most of all people who can think outside of theirselves. i don’t care so much about the abstract anymore, i focus on people in my life, i analyse my own situations now and for the most part this is a good route to finding meaning and worth. getting lost in the abstract makes you overthink, leading to ideas of some kind of overarching grandeur to life. or the opposite, which is probably worse. reality isn't going to structure your life, and you need to appreciate that. put your plans in the bin, we are not significant, but we are all on the same journey.
