Jordin Post returns to Anjunabeats with the ‘Azure EP’. 

Jordin cut his teeth making progressive trance as Juventa, before turning to melodic bass music as part of KUURO. He made his debut on Anjunabeats in May 2020 with ‘something2me / New Day’. The former became a favourite of BBC Radio 1’s Scott Mills.

Inspired by the changing of the seasons in his native Amsterdam, Jordin’s ‘Azure EP’ marks the next step in his broad journey as an artist.

San Francisco’s Luttrell shares his latest EP ‘Music For My Memories Pt. II’. The second in a trilogy of works to be shared throughout 2021, the forthcoming EP follows on from the success of lead single ‘Operation Midnight’, which saw support from Annie Mac on BBC Radio 1. 
  
Since launching his Luttrell project in 2016, he has become an an Anjunadeep fan favourite, and produced some of the label’s most memorable moments including ‘Intergalactic Plastic’, ‘Contact’ and ‘Need You’, which all won resounding support from BBC Radio 1’s Danny Howard, Annie Mac and Pete Tong. Colorize is delighted to present the latest in its sampler series with this edition showcasing four tracks from some of the most exciting acts in the worlds of progressive house and breaks. UK-based producer Che-Yung opens proceedings with the blissed out 'Waterbreathing', a serene track that is perfectly refined and transcendent. We then see three Colorize debuts, firstly from Astane whose track 'Solivagant' drives forward with euphoric intensity thanks to brilliant synth work. Parallel Voices channels the sounds of Bicep on 'Still', an excellent breaks-infused production that builds in glorious fashion and is supremely invigorating, and wrapping up the sampler is Digital Department who also cleverly explores breaks textures with a stylish melodic focus on 'Leaving City'.

A melting pot of deep house, progressive and trance, ‘This Is Not Our Universe’ also boasts a lineup of eclectic vocalists.
The album includes an evergreen remix of alt-J’s hit ‘Breezeblocks’, recent single ‘Lost’ feat. Run Rivers, and slow-burning festival smash ‘Need You’ alongside regular collaborator Thomas Oliver.

Echoes of Pryda and Timo Maas can be heard on instrumentals ‘The Walk’ and ’Neko’, while fans of the duo’s recent outings on Anjunabeats’ sister label Anjunadeep will enjoy ‘Vanishing’ (feat Run Rivers) and ‘Lullaby’ (feat Helsoot).

“This is actually our first album together. Our characters are quite different. This album is the result of those two different characters and the tension that arises in the search for the balance between the two of us. It is, as it were, a collection of ingredients with which we show that we are happy with the differences between them. The album also represents diversity. Many tracks on the album have the same character but are still different from each other. A nice reflection of how we are as people.”

Odd One Out requires me to sometimes release records that are a bit...odd. So after the 2 first releases I decided it’s time to unleash a hint of Gouda. The track asks ”Is This Trance?” and is fuelled by some gargantuan bouncy saw riffs that I picked up from my 13-year old brain which at the time was listening to Southside Spinners and Gatecrasher compilations. Slightly slower and more mature, like some of my favourite cheeses are, this is quite close to musical Gorgonzola with some hedonistic grapes.

Finnish DJ and producer Yotto has become an Anjunadeep legend since making his debut on the label in 2015. Winning huge support from BBC Radio 1’s Pete Tong, Annie Mac and Danny Howard, Otto Yliperttula quickly rose to prominence with his energetic melodic house sound. His debut album ‘Hyperfall’, released in late 2018 reached #1 on Billboard’s Dance Album Chart, and saw him tour the world and play at Coachella. Since then Yotto has established his own label, Odd One Out, putting out a string of club cuts supported by the likes of Tale Of Us, Artbat and Eric Prydz.

Over a year since his last solo release on Anjunadeep, Yotto now makes a welcome homecoming with ‘Another Riff For The Good Times / Daydreaming’. Demonstrating his flair with uplifting melodies, ‘ARFTGT’ is classic Yotto, whilst the restrained ‘Daydreaming’ is a highlight from the recent chart topping compilation ‘Anjunadeep 11’.
