'Progressions' is the culmination of three successful years for the young musician after releasing his debut album 'Contrast' in 2017, during which he has released critically-acclaimed, successful singles that have resulted in tens of million of streams and spins on SiriusXM, BBC Radio 1 and Radio FG. He has received praise from fellow industry leaders including Armin van Buuren, Above & Beyond, Lane 8 and Chris Lake and he launched the inaugural, ambitious Colorscapes series with Colorize label-mate Dezza in 2019. This is all while touring the world from Europe to Japan to the US, playing standout events like ASOT 900 and Electronic Family in the Netherlands and embarking on a three month tour of the US with Jason Ross.

'Progressions' is a bold, expansive exploration of progressive house music, on which Matt Fax pushes boundaries and proves his polished, mesmerising sound is second-to-none. His second album sees the youthful producer emerge with a confident, assured approach, his experience allowing him to effortlessly craft fresh, breathtaking prog anthems that swell from nuanced to grandiose. With truly stellar production across the project with its finely-calibrated synth textures, banging, refined bass and an inescapable, relentless groove, Matt Fax finds a luscious sweet spot across these seventeen tracks.

Featuring singles including the driving 'Animal' with singer / songwriter Trove, the marauding, ethereal ambiance of 'The Wave' with Ava Silver, and throbbing and vocal-heavy production 'Set Your Sails' with duo RBBTS, Matt Fax employs contributions from a collection of exciting collaborators to great effect, punctuating the album precisely between his dynamic solo efforts. These include two mammoth anthems, 'The Greatest Thing' with Grammy nominated singer / songwriter Richard Bedford and 'Artificial', a stirring collaboration with friend and Trance legend BT. Homecomings are always a special thing, and with music it is just the same. After the successful launch of his own imprint Deep State earlier in the year - Grum is celebrating with some epic remixes of the music that started it all - his Heartbeats LP from back in 2010.

Providing the new heat for this 10 year special are Tinlicker and Paul Thomas. Both artists fit in perfectly with the Deep State family.

Remixing such well known music, and taking in a different direction is always a tricky thing. Tinlicker's high energy reworking of Through The Night is progressive genius, twisting the Nu Disco hammer into a finely tuned roller.

Paul Thomas's remix is just as clever,  his remix of Runaway (one of the electro monsters on the original album) is devastatingly big. Heavy electronics and a supercharged bassline working in tandem.

Alongside Deep States unique new remixes we are also including music from the original LP in the package. Out this August on Deep State.

As we pass the halfway point in 2020, it's time to present the third release of the year on the Greenstone imprint. This time we bring you Arbor; a club track that is perhaps destined not for the dance floors of clubland but rather to grace the decks of many a live stream in the months ahead.

Arbor was written as a back to basics club track, powerful groove, hypnotic percussion and melody that ebbs, flows and swells to a crescendo, only to give way to a thumping peak section that cashes down like a monster wave, rolling towards the shore, to eventually dissipate, retract and reform as a memory of what has just come before.

His music has been supported by the likes of Lane 8, James Grant & Jody Wisternoff, Joris Voorn and Edu Imbernon, and he’s added a deeper flavour to 'Will I Change'.
 
A regular on deadmau5's Mau5trap imprint, Julian Gray made his Anjunabeats debut earlier with 'Static', featuring Zashanell. Showcased on his recent Anjunabeats Worldwide mix, his ‘Will I Change’ remix is a blend of the techno and progressive sounds that he’s known for.
