One of the highlight projects of 2023 to land on Colorize is this pristine five-track EP from Italian producer Luca Guaitoli aka L.GU. After establishing himself as one of the label's most consistent and prolific producers, he now brings his first longer-form project to the fore. It's a diverse EP that showcases the many facets of the L.GU. sound, with his take on progressive house and techno textures a firm favourite among fans of the genres. The EP's first single 'Rivers' with LAR and Ben Cina, and 'Wildflower' with Émilie Rachel are exquisite explorations of a more melodic side of progressive house, and L.GU. gives plenty of space for his collaborators to shine. On 'Ray' he takes you on a sonic journey, with immersive grooves and expansive synths the highlight, and on 'Crescendo' and second single 'Almost There' he locks into a more dark, brooding side of house music, incorporating an exhilarating techno influence into both tracks with a masterful touch. 'Mirage Reflections' sees L.GU. break down genre barriers effortlessly and in the process craft some of the most exciting, club-ready dance music going in 2023.
