Bristol-based duo Icarus make a long-awaited return to Anjunadeep with original production ‘Moment In Time’. Featuring acclaimed British singer-songwriter Jamie N Commons, this new single marks their third on the label, following their 2016 hit ‘Hiding’ and their recent remix of CRi’s ‘From Me’.

Known for their distinctive brand of emotive and melodic house music, Icarus a.k.a Tom and Ian Griffiths have garnered over 116m Spotify streams to date, and a global following from their steady stream of crossover hits such as ‘October’ and ‘Home’, featuring Aurora. What’s more, the duo have also remixed some of the world’s biggest acts including Jesse Ware, Pendulum, Martin Solveig, Wilkinson and Rüfüs Du Sol.

After a year-long hiatus from releasing original music, following the success of their 2020 project ‘Unfold’ via FFRR, Icarus return now with ‘Moment In Time’, joining forces with fellow Bristolian, Jamie N Commons. With an all-star list of collaborations to his name, alongside artists like Jay Z, Eminem and Skylar Grey; Jamie now showcases his powerhouse vocal and flair for emotive songwriting on this poignant new Anjunadeep single.

‘We wrote the original idea with Jamie a few years ago and knew we’d never got it ‘right’ for release. With the last year that the world has endured, we felt it was time to revisit the song as it had never felt more relevant than it does right now. We’re proud of where we’ve taken the track and we can’t wait for the world to hear it,’ Icarus says.

London-based producers and songwriters Jamie Hoddle and Lewis Gregory, AKA Mona Vale, debut on Anjunadeep with impressive three-tracker ‘Pieces Of You EP’. 

The release opens with upbeat groover ‘Pieces Of You’. First featured by Jody Wisternoff and James Grant on their latest flagship label compilation Anjunadeep 13, the infectious disco groove has made the track an instant fan favourite. The EP’s upbeat energy continues with ‘Sunshine’, a house belter that features a vocal sample from The Finishing Touch’s perennially-catchy ‘Sunshine & Promises’. Closing the EP is ‘Place To Hide’, a comparatively laid-back production that rounds the release off on a serene note.

"We feel like we've managed to blend all our influences into this EP, with emotive songwriting and melodies that runs through our sound coupled with a nod to the disco and house records we love to play out in our DJ sets. German act Rezident delivers a stunning rework of Ben Böhmer’s standout single ‘Erase’ with British singer and producer lau.ra. 

Ben Böhmer and his sophomore album ‘Begin Again’ are becoming fast favourites staple in the world of electronic music. The album has accumulated over 40m streams, and Ben has sold out all dates on his 30-date headline tour, with a total of 35,000 tickets purchased. His stellar run continues as he takes to the festival circuit this summer, appearing at renowned festivals such as Junction 2, Rock In Rio, EDC Las Vegas and îLESONIQ. 

Rezident, who has supported Ben on the European leg of his album tour, now rewords one of the most loved singles from the album. His remix of ‘Erase’ maintains the dreamy and atmospheric sounds of the original, whilst adding an upbeat energy that acts as a perfect counterpoint to lau.ra’s dreamy vocals.

‘Erase’ (Rezident Remix) is out on Anjunadeep on May 25, ahead of the full ‘Begin Again (Remixed)’ package, which is available to pre-order now, ahead of its release on June 15.

Providing a deeper insight into his creative world than his first extended outing ‘Illusion Of Perfection’, Spencer has once again delivered a fresh take on a classic format - the mix album.
Few artists put such emphasis on allowing their DJ craft to inform their studio output. With a passion for extended live sets, Spencer blurs the lines between deep house, progressive and trance to keep those performances fresh and clubbers locked in from start to close.
From the angst of ‘Long Way From Home’ (alongside label heads Above & Beyond), to the driving energy of underground hit ‘Windows 95 On Acid’, Spencer is making waves: the former becoming a playlisted record on Sirius XM BPM, the latter a record box mainstay for Eric Prydz, Calvin Harris, Sasha and Deadmau5 and a number 1 techno release on Beatport.

Meticulously crafted through no fewer than 329 revisions, ‘Stream of Consciousness’ is a wide-ranging exploration of Spencer’s sound in 2019. From the serene soundscape of ‘SF to Berlin’ alongside label-mate and regular studio partner Ben Böhmer, to the peak-time progressive energy of Wilt Claybourne collaboration ‘Womaa’, the energy ebbs and flows, but never loosens its grip.
Spencer applies his own spin to breakbeat with ‘Chance On Us’, while ‘Pursuance’ with rising Anjunadeep star Marsh is a 90’s-flavoured rave cut.

Spencer explains his love of the mix format…
“The mix album took 329 revisions to finalise. I’m a control freak with my mixes—it’s deeply ingrained in my creative process. With that in mind, I didn’t send any tracks to anyone for mix help, and I created and mixed 100% of the final product. Creating an album of radio-edited singles has never interested me creatively. I prefer to craft music that keeps my listener in a flow state—working, studying, travelling, exercising, dancing, whatever it may be. I conceived my album as one carefully mixed piece: an hour and change of continuous music. It’s a collection of tracks I wrote from 2015 to 2019, inspired by the majesty of nature, missing a loved one, and the ups and downs of touring—all bundled into a single Stream of Consciousness.”

After successfully launching his imprint Harabe in late 2019, Anatolian Sessions is back on Art Vibes with a two-track EP: Delichones'.

‘Delichones' and ‘Theia', the two original tracks demonstrate the forward-thinking sound signature of the Istanbul-based producer and DJ. Contrasting with the genuine ethnic approach of his 'Keder' EP released on Art Vibes in 2017, both ‘Theia' and ‘Delichones' present dreamy atmospheres and soothing beats. While there are still hints of ethnic instruments and percussions, the focus is resolutely put onto carefully designed synthesizer sounds. This approach leads to a very cohesive and addictive EP, perfect for the upcoming summer vibes.

‘Delichones' EP is complemented with three remixes from Rauschhaus, Pandhora, and Mel7em. German musician and producer Rauschhaus makes his first appearance on Art Vibes with his remix of ‘Delichones'. His unique sound signature has made waves throughout the electronic music scene and is definitely turning Delichones into a groovy and highly energetic version.

French duo Pandhora applied their psychedelic and ethereal vision to ‘Theia'. Through the use of guitar licks and synthetic pads, they gave a whole new color to the track. Making sure to stay true to the original, they used the main theme as the basis for a complete rich re-harmonization.

‘Keder' released in 2017 has been one of the most appreciated tracks on Art Vibes. For that reason, Mel7em gave this track a fresh rework. The pianist and producer has a very distinctive way of arranging tracks and sounds which we fell in love with. Yet again, he is pushing his progressive and club-oriented vision with a banging remix.
