This is my latest project, Dull Moon. It was composed, recorded, and produced start to finish on my iPad using Korg Gadget, a MIDI keyboard, and an Apple Pencil (except the mastering, which was done in LPX on my Mac). The artwork was also done by me. I hope you enjoy it. :)

A tribute to the origins of the dubstep sound, with a mild chiptune/arcade box style vibe. Produced entirely on an iPad inside of KORG Gadget.

Mellow, somber kinda trip-hop style vibe. Inspired by the loss of someone very special from my life, and the journey I set out on to try and forget her after we split. We’re worlds apart now, but I can still see her pretty face, and hear her sweet voice whispering in my ear. The years pass, yet she still haunts my dreams. Someday I will learn how to let go. Until then, I draw inspiration from the pain of remembering.

My name is Stephen James. I am a solo musician, tech nerd, and Bird Law specialist, originally from NW Chi suburbs. I now live in Seattle.

I have been producing songs for about 10 years, but only actually started releasing my music for consumption as of the first track on this page, Amateur Hour.
