This young and talented duo already has several releases on 87 Records, Colours Music and of course their own HardWorkSoftDrink (HWSD) label. You can hear their forward thinking sounds at their own HWSD parties, which usually take place in some of the finest of venues such as Dora Brilliant and the infamous Robert Johnson. Now they come with a mix of their own music in a special live set recorded in their hometown Offenbach. For those who know, HWSD is one of the most exciting new collectives in the scene today.

An opening salvo by Traumprinz announces Natalia’s intentions: with pleading keys over subbasement subbasslines that send cracks through the century’s old paint that flakes from the room’s parched walls. Following this siren’s subtle song, the crowd descends the steep stairwell; the only breeze to be felt comes from their collective baited breath. The mix moves with the people’s indebted reaction to tracks by Peter F Spiess and Schcaa and then finds its restrained crescendo with compositions from DeWalta, Mike Dehnert and Cabanne. A layer of collective sweat forms a raincloud on the once barren ceiling, and then falls onto blissful raised faces in a nocturnal baptism before fading to black.
