My approach/principles to making music lately starts with Audiobus-audiob.us. Audiobus allows me to use as many mobile apps simultaneously together as I want.

This Track alone i made on a Metra Train ride back to chicago using the app: GlitchBreaks- itunes.apple.com/us/app/glitchbre…id520451538?mt=8

Then I use Audioshare to export whatever audio files I want to my computer in which i then begin to multitrack and finish in Ableton Live.

So far I've love this process because it's CHEAP (apps are a lot cheaper than hardware, and; 
i have an audio interface called IRIGPRO that allows me to use midi controllers for my iphone apps, along with guitar/bass inputs.) 
LASTLY, for me... instead of just opening ableton, wasting cpu on plugins and getting lost into the abyss of options and sound, this process SIMPLIFIES music making for me and believe it or not, with a tight budget.... it's a lot more intuitive.

Part 1 (Rough Mix)

Downloaded a free version of an IOS app called "bent.fm lite", through audiobus added a free FX app called "ADelay2" through the signal chain recording output "Audioshare". 

After twiddling for some time i'm happy to say the experience was creatively provocative enough to unintentionally and naturally produce beach waves. Prettttty cool.
