This is my first original song demo!!

This song and my memories of life during this time marked a monumental and inspirational moment for me. I knew from the moment I listened back to what I'd done through my cheap starter headphones, THIS was the thing I would shape my life around. Writing music, recording and performing live, but most importantly, always singing something that MEANT SOMETHING to me.

I was just beginning to find my musical voice.  Practicing guitar and singing or just recording cover tunes for practice for hours every day after class. Up until this point I had never written my own songs or lyrics. These lyrics came immediately after the passing of my grandfather, and I felt so strongly about them that the song has held a sizeable chunk of real estate in my mind for over 11 years.  
I always knew that one day I would re-record the song professionally to hopefully give it the credit I felt it was due.

And the covers continue! Always dug Poison's version of this song (to an extent) and thought I'd take a stab at it for the second cover. Not too proud of the mix on this one, but it is what it is. Had a fun time recording it, and that's what matters. Hope you enjoy!

What I Like About You - The Romantics (Cover)

This is a very different side of me musically that my family/friends who know of me as a "Rock Guy" have probably never heard. 
Admittedly, this coming from me was a little strange to myself, but I've always been an equal opportunity music-lover so when the inspiration struck, I went where it took me and wrote and recorded the initial demo that night.

The inspiration for "Let It Be Love" comes from some of my favorite songwriters out there - Young Mister(Steven Fiore) Chris Stapleton, & John Mayer - who I was enamored by when this song was conceived, and still am today for their incredible storytelling ability and ways of conjuring emotions with words.
