Im trying

With all the best intensions 
of pre-emptive intervention
for the life of me i couldn't see what was  coming next 
even with the power of predictive text 
the messages i couldn't read 
my hand was bitten with what i feed
with the blood on them all of my own
as the story told became a drone
a monologue with long chapters of angry tirade
this has never made
me feel any better
to cross the T's and dot the I's down to the last letter
i write you an apology 
as part of an anthology 
to sing you in song
i know what i did wrong
though whats the point to it all
when you dont want to hear or take my calls
except to prove to me that im trying
