The I-75 mix is one of the highlights of my year. I put a lot of thought into the theme of the year, or "journey" the mix will help explore.
This year, as I have been developing as a producer, and Columbus has been developing as a destination to hear forward-thinking producers and DJs, I opened up the mix to all locals of our loyal-but-intimate dance community.

Advice for the DJs, artists and producers of our community: I think it's easy to feel like people will forget about you when you're not in the room, and that can be really daunting. My biggest advice would be to surround yourself with people who support each other both inside and outside of the club, and to use whatever resources you have to create platforms and communities that make people feel like they're allowed to take breaks to take care of themselves, and like they're allowed to rest. Try to let go of the narrative that you have to be at 100% productivity 100% of the time, or that you have to go to every party, or see everyone, or do everything.  And check in on your friends !

While on the road this past July @honchopgh called on local crew @meshparty to fill in for a night. For their 1st event at the club, alongside their resident Sis Girl, MESH booked NYC based DJ and founding member of the @workingwomennyc collective, @latenitesbookclub, to join them. 

Following a rousing opening set by Sis Girl, DJ Voices took over for the rest of the night and maintained the energy by playing a propulsive blend of techno and electro. As the night drew on, tempos climbed up, with a combination of breaks  and Jungle. Finally as the crowd began to wane, DJ Voices slowed things down with a mixture, warm house, italo and some sluggish ebm.
