Hello guys

After a sabbatical at the beginning of the year, today we begin our season on Podcasts. Our guest comes from Romania. An excellent curator at his record label and also with historic performances at festivals such as Sunwaves Festival.

One of the most respected DJs in his country, he has been spreading the Romanian music scene around the world for a long time. With stints at record labels such as his own, Atipic Records, Arpiar, RORA and many others.

He masterfully gave us two presentations at this year's Brazilian carnival.

This mix was recorded live at D-EDGE in Sao Paulo.

Born and raised in Piatra-Neamt, Romania, Alex Rusu is one of those who still authenticate himself with the old school vibrations and bona fide house of undisputed origin. The character of his his sound is defined by the techno and breaks resonances that travelled in the past two decades. What makes it special about him it’s his admiration of jazz and funk which, blending together with the raw 4/4 constructions into a very tripped-out harmony. He gets his first auditions by the crowds of the Mountain Beach project where he joins into adventures with many names that ring bells and his manner of playing, quickly brings him the residence at the project for the past 5 years. Besides the local project, Alex is getting involved in the endless rhythmic days and nights of the Sunwaves and Marathon festivals where he gets the experience of sharing the booth with great music minds and innovators such as [a:rpia:r], Fumiya Tanaka, Cabanne, Valentino Kanziany, Nima Gorji and many other loud names.. Alex keeps unfolding his talent and the evolution is noticeable after every journey he plays and every creation he releases.
