In this new release from Gordo Trax, we encounter a young producer named Comarca, determined to revolutionize the electronic scene with daring productions and a unique style that draws from the different errors that arise during the creative process, creating a palette of sounds with a distinct avant-garde character. Between the most energetic Techno and the dreamlike broken rhythms, we can blindly wander through an EP brimming with talent, where epicness is not lacking in "Abraçada Enverinada," futurism in "Cadena d'Errors," abstraction in "Fred," melancholy in "Ferma Voluntat," and surprises with two remixes by two of the most prominent Techno producers: Not a Headliner and Finalversion3. In our tireless quest to discover the most original artists in contemporary Techno, we have come across producers like Comarca or Cosmic Anomaly, who have virtually debuted on our label, showcasing a spectacular talent for redefining the genre's boundaries. Now it's time for a unique artist based in Barcelona: YearsAstray, whose abstract sound, completely detached from formulas, is practically unclassifiable.

In this "Plástico y Asfalto", we will encounter brittle percussions, rough textures, vaporous sounds intertwined with random sequences, and sounds that speak to us, coming to life to snatch away our own.

As remixers, this extensive EP features one of the Spanish talents in Hypnotic Techno that is worth keeping an eye on for the future: Jala. Closing the album, Finalversion3 reimagines Grafit with their signature sound.

BUCLE SERIES 010: Comarca

We are glad to present Comarca, a Catalan DJ and producer based in Vilafranca del Penedès, with outstanding releases on the Valencian record label Gordo Trax, as well as on Peder Mannerfelt Records.

Recognized for productions that combine the high energy of rave-techno with the innovative spirit of early-2000s IDM, his sonic identity places him as a truly unique artist.

His latest EP on Gordo Trax, [GTX031] “No Va Durar Per Sempre”, is a clear testament to the talent and passion he brings to every track. The result—when fused with his modular setup—is something truly special for electronic music lovers.

Driven by the belief in the dancefloor as a potential political force, he founded Rave Against Repression (RAR), a collective that believes in the transformative power of electronic music, the creation of safe spaces, and the strong conviction that the most forward-thinking electronic music deserves to be heard everywhere.

It is both a pleasure and an honor for us to have him as a guest in this series.

Nos complace presentar a Comarca DJ y productor Catalan afincado en Vilafranca del Penedès con lanzamientos espectaculares en el  sello discográfico valenciano Gordo Trax y también en Peder Mannerfelt records. 

Destacado por su producciones que combinan la energía del techno mas ravero con las ganas de innovar del IDM de principios de siglo, su identidad sonora lo sitúa como un artista único en su especie.

Su ultimo EP en Gordo Trax, [GTX031] “No Va Durar Per Sempre” deja claro el talento y la pasión que plasma en cada track. Y el resultado que ofrece juntando eso con su configuración modular,  es algo maravilloso para los amantes de la música electrónica .

Su convencimiento de la pista de baile como potencial agente político, le empujó a desarrollar Rave Against Repression (RAR), colectivo con el que defiende el papel transformador de la música electrónica, la voluntad de creación de espacios seguros y la defensa ferviente de que la música electrónica más avanzada puede sonar en cualquier sitio.

Para nosotros es un placer y un honor tenerlo como invitado en la serie.

Estudio sobre la Belleza de lo Físico (Study on the Beauty of the Physical) marks a shift towards a rawer, more physical, and club-oriented approach in Finalversion3’s sonic exploration. If his recent EP Todos Los Siempres was an intricate dissection of broken rhythms and fractured structures, this new release embraces direct impact, an ode to the dancefloor, to the body in motion, to the sheer physicality of sound… a tribute to the club as a visceral experience.

Backing this EP you have immersive yet surgically crafted remix work from EarToGround mainstays Gareth Wild and Voicedrone as well as a pressurised reworking from Measure Divide.

En sus sets en vivo, Comarca fusiona la fuerza del techno de Birmingham con la densidad y profundidad sonora característica de Shxcxchcxsh. Al mismo tiempo, no teme explorar el hedonismo melódico de Octo Octa y la vorágine creativa de Hector Oaks, creando así una experiencia sónica que trasciende los límites sensoriales.

Con un sonido que va directo a la yugular, Comarca se erige como uno de los artistas más a tener en cuenta en el panorama techno nacional. Su EP debut “Estabilitat Emocional” se destacó en medios como Vicious Magazine y en 2023 volvió con una nueva referencia llamada “Cadena d’Errors”, esta vez en el sello valenciano Gordo Trax. El release ha recibido el apoyo de grandes artistas como Alienata, Regal, NiZ, Franz Jäger, Ángel Molina o Answer Code Request entre otros. También ha colaborado en el EP “Contra Los Ángeles” de Finalversion3 publicado en Newrhythmic Records.
