Final Fantasy 1 Orchestrated - Fiend Battle A

This is my favorite track in the game! 

I'm considering giving this song a bit of an overhaul, get a better sense of movement beneath the strings. Right now it's a trio of clarinets playing legato, and I'm starting to think I should have gone staccato.

Final Fantasy 1 Orchestrated - Airship

At the time of writing this (6/15/2015) I'll be singing in the upcoming "Distant Worlds" concert in LA. And I think they're debuting a new "Victory Theme" arrangement there -- one that's longer than they've performed before. 

So if a recording is made of this upcoming concert, I will obtain it. And I will use it. And I will ditch my own orchestration, which I'm not all that happy with.

Final Fantasy 1 Orchestrated - Victory Fanfare

What was one song for two dungeons in the NES Final Fantasy is now two different songs. Well, two variations anyway. “Sunken Shrine” sounds more underwater-y (and kinda purty); “Temple of Fiends (Past)” sounds more ancient and menacing and has creepy whispers.

Not changed much from the GBA/PSX remake version. The NES has the sounds of waves crashing, but it didn't sound that great, so it's music only now.

Final Fantasy 1 Orchestrated - Sailing Ship

Can you spot the Evangelion reference? I recently re-watched the series and couldn't resist the homage.

This is the final boss battle, against the almighty Chaos, from Final Fantasy 1 (1987, NES). This is an original orchestration based on the PSX/GBA remakes' music.

I uploaded a version before, but I wanted to raise the piano by an octave and... well I got carried away and replaced most of the instruments with new versions. Also the choir now includes my voice! So that's fun.

An original orchestration of "Spear of Justice" (and a little "NGAHHH") from Undertale.

[Undertale is a game about discovery, which means basically everything is a SPOILER. Even the music kinda.]

By the internet's mercurial standards, I may be late to the Undertale party -- but I honestly don't care. I only just played it a month ago, and it's already one of my all-time favorites. Hence this orchestration; it's how I express my appreciation for its excellent soundtrack.

I always try for a more "realistic" approach (minus the occasional cheat), imagining that a real physical orchestra might actually be able to perform this. In fact, I'll probably go so far as to notate it and post the sheet music for anyone that wants it, at some unknown point in the future. A warning: it's quite fast! But I think Undyne would have it no other way.

This is a "parody" but it isn't funny? And it's way too earnest for the internet's usual infatuation with irony, but I don't care.

I whipped up this cover of a song from Steven Universe in order to express my feels regarding yesterday's / this morning's election results. I can't adequately write my own songs so this is as close as it gets. Sorry if it's too political or "too real"; I'm not a very emotional person so I doubt many things will rise to this threshold for me again.

Gradius II Orchestrated - Burning Heat

The best ending to any game. And still my favorite game too. 

This piece is like the pirate captain animatronic at Disneyland's POTC. I do all my testing on this piece, so it keeps getting updated with all my latest techniques.
I finally notated the music, and with that updated many of the ideas from past versions. This includes changing the key and changing a bit of the structure of the opening. So yes, this is a v3 of this orchestration, which was the main reason to re-repost it.
