This is the brand new Club Clique remix of 'Blue Jeans' by Lana Del Rey. 

We're the only remix crew in the world to have been officially asked to remix both sides of Lana's top 10 debut single. We are releasing it today to celebrate her playing the first date of her debut world tour, in our home city of Manchester on Friday 4th November.

As a reaction to all the online criticism of Lana for not being 'authentic', every sound on this remix apart from Lana's voice is completely synthetic. Great pop music isn't about being 'real', the best acts reach for something bigger, better and more glamorous than the everyday. This po-faced stance betrays a lack of imagination and a loathing of creativity. David Bowie wasn't actually from Mars, but it doesn't make his music any less awesome.

Background: 
So Charli XCX has been slaying it for a while. We remember when she released “Boom Clap” in 2014. 5 YEARS ago wow. It was so catchy, everyone kept quoting the song at high school. It also gave birth to one the greatest vines of all time:

Good times. Vine should really make a comeback.

Anyway, she recently teamed up with Christine and the Queens to release her new song called “Gone” and guess what? It BANGS. Its catchy, hits hard and her vocals are so powerful. It also flows really well. We almost didn’t want to remix the song because we weren’t sure if we could improve on it. However, a few weeks later, here we are. 
Compared to our other songs so far, this one has a lot of really melodic parts mixed together with a drop that hits hard enough to dance but chill enough to be listening to on your desk at work.

Moving on, we know we’ve been dabbling in and out of a couple of sub-genres of EDM but we're just all about making songs that are catchy and bop-worthy. Mission accomplished? You can be the judge of that.
