@breakdnz was born and raised in Frankfurt am Main. He discovered his passion for music early on, at the age of 9, when friends' cassette mixtapes introduced him to the world of 90s Hip-Hop and R&B. These influences are still present in his sound. Through his curated mixes and eclectic DJ sets, he explores and experiments with different genres to create a unique blend of electronic and organic sounds. His motivation is to discover the vibe of tomorrow and to take the listeners on a musical journey.

This is the fourth of a four-set volume mix playlist that has come from the experiences of my 2022 and 2023.

This mix is inspired from my growing love and appreciation for RnB. Rhythm & Blues is a sound that I struggled to connect with at a really young age, but was able to truly feel and understand when I fell in love 6 years ago. Since then, I have been an RnB fiend and been tapping into the space heavily over the last 3-4 years.

As the intro of this mix depicts, RnB has been supposedly “dead” for a while but I do believe we are currently in one of the best eras of the genre. The mix is aimed at emphasising on the great RnB music produced as of recent, whilst paying homage to the foundation of the sonic.
