Paulina Rodriguez aka Paurro is what dance club cats consider a real DJ. She has built a reputation for pumping House music ecstasy and complete body workout on the dance floors of New York City, her hometown Mexico City, and the new shores she’s been heading to, expanding her rhythmical generosity down south up north, east and west around the globe.
A luminous spheroid of plasma held together by her own gravity - she glows in disco darkness enhanced by smoke machines and strobes - Paurro, as we speak, has become an integral and essential part of not only Ciudad de México’s, but house lover’s night life - or as Franklin Fuentes put it: “It’s hot in here, it’s wet in here, it’s dark in here, I like it here!”
After a few releases including her fantastic remix of “Nuestra Forma” by DJs Pareja and Lupe, Cómeme is proud to present her very first appearance on the label:
5 dirty House bangers, driven by sharp breakbeats, acidic-straight-in-your-face-synth-madness, rolling and wall shaking (sub) bass lines and laser sharp strings.
Paurro’s “Galavision” is full of floor fillers, lush psychedelia, basement jams and peak time jacking craze for those who know and those who wanna learn.
The release also includes a remix (of the track “They’re here!”) by no other than “The Don” aka Matias Aguayo, presenting a more stripped down version, lovingly dedicated to the vibes both DJs achieve to create when playing together in already legendary appearances at the shores of the Pacific Ocean and the CDMX’s nasty City Centre. “Galavision” Is only the beginning. Prepare for much more music from Paurro, soon to be heard in the ever-growing discography of Latin America’s most essential Dance Label, the crates of your favorite DJs, and your local dance floor.

London-based, Australian-born Teneil Throssell, aka HAAi, is known for a strain of sonic psychedelia that metabolises precise sound design, melodic techno, electronic pop and thundering beats. Following the release of her acclaimed 2022 album, Baby, We’re Ascending, HAAi has reached what she calls “another career milestone” - an invitation to steer the next edition of !K7 Records’ acclaimed DJ-Kicks series.

HAAi approached this mix with two concurrent goals: to continue to iterate on her artistic theme - which she named ‘always ascending’ - and to highlight her flair for hyperkinesis and drama behind the decks, which she achieves with BPM left-turns, endless upwards tilts and sharp accelerations, liminal transitions and moments of pure euphoria. Within the sweeping journey she moves through an expansive selection of heritage classics, future-facing artists, friends, heroes, and voices from close-knit communities, alongside a number of her own exclusive productions.

On Friday 8th September Morocco was struck by the strongest earthquake on record for over a century. Hitting the High Atlas mountains, around 70 kilometres southwest of Marrakesh, the 6.8 magnitude quake has killed over 3000 people and impacted the lives of over 300,000 more.

As a way to raise funds for families and communities impacted by the disaster, we’ve rallied friends together for ‘Tadamoun: A Compilation for Moroccan Earthquake Relief’.

Compiled in collaboration with Geneva-based DJ and producer Reda Saiarh, the release features 24 tracks contributed by artists from across Europe, including Anatolian Weapons, Romain FX, Justine Forever, Cornelius Doctor, Zaatar and more. Musically it travels across many sounds and styles too, from ambient electronica, trip hop and leftfield bass to chugging Italo, jackin’ new beat and trippy techno.

All proceeds will be split 50/50 between two charities who are helping to raise money for those affected and to rebuild communities that have been devastated: Atlas Kinder, a charity who supports abandoned children in Morocco, and Insaf, a non-profit organisation that protects and supports women and children.

DJ, producer and compilation curator Reda Saiarh: “‘Tadamoun’ means Solidarity in Arabic - my mother instantly suggested this word as the title of the release. Following the events [in Morocco], I wanted to help in a way that brought many talents and friends together. Artists from different countries around the world showed their appreciation to Morocco and its population in a moment of communion. In response to tragedy, music is the answer - I encourage you to help and share by purchasing this various artists' compilation. A list of charities is available for anyone who wants to donate or help directly, and we also suggest you listen to other compilations that are helping the same cause including these from Astro Fever International and ZNZL.

I'm really thankful to all the artists on the compilation for contributing their brilliant music for such a great cause. It means a lot to make a fusion of worldwide artists and especially friends, including the Hard Fist Crew, Neskeh and Romain FX, as well as Rosie for her outstanding coordination behind the scenes. My sister has also been really involved, collecting donations and resources for families who are affected. This was a family affair from the beginning - thanks to Ransom Note for making it happen!”

With his live shows & DJ sets, Claude B established himself as an emerging and promising figure on the french electronic scene, starting to perform in Nantes (FR) in 2021. Founder of collective Solstice and later Mauvaise Ambiance in Paris with his friends & colleagues from former TRAX Magazine, he navigates in his productions through varied inspirations from pure techno to more experimental electronic works. His latest EP, Spectral Matters, demonstrates an accomplishment in his recording techniques but this new EP Newbie is more intimate. Moving Backwards perfectly expresses confusion and fury: acid synths galore, whose next note you can't expect, a raging break beat, invasive bass and almost mystical but stammering vocals.

While trying to defuse the demented nature of the Spacerider’s poisoned AI system, Hip Hop Electronic takes a left turn (although it’s hard to tell if it is left; it is space, after all.) The stereo system then almost seems to travel back in time and begins playing some old-school-sounding Electro Funk heavily laced with a vocal scat. The randomness of this broken track throws Hip Hop Electronic’s circuits into a diffracted focus until it realizes it’s a ploy delivered by the AI to drive it into a spiral of complacent confusion. It has now become an internal battle of artificial intellect as Hip Hop Electronic must cut through the verbal gibberish and gratifying slaps of these sounds to regain control.
